Idk how to label this. Wifehunter John?
The idea of possessive/obsessive John manipulating a situation and stealing a wife for himself struck me, so just coughing the idea up while I sneak away for a coffee before I actually have to start work in 20 mins đ entirely unedited, abrupt ending
________
For someone married to his job, he has put quite a bit of thought into what he is looking for in a wife. Namely, that she's already married.
His reasoning is threefold. He can admit to himself, firstly, that it satisfies his need for control. Competency. He's a busy man with a demanding job. Not quite retired yet, no time to build his own from scratch. With this, he gets a wife boxed up and ready-trained. Broken in.
Secondly, the need for control bleeds into his saviour complex. She'll need a shoulder to cry on, someone strong and capable to get her back on her feet. She'll be feeling a little fragile. Needy. Perfect.
And thirdly, it does something wild to his jealous, possessive streak. The idea of taking something precious, of breaking her bond to another man and tying it to him? Delicious. The idea that she used to be someone else's, that he has to imprint himself onto her knowing that in doing so he is erasing the imprint of another man? It has his teeth aching, grinding even as heat rises in his belly. Stirs at him.
The idea swirls lazily in the back of his mind, never quite finding the right time or right partner. He bats at it a few times, lazy cat playing with the notion, seeing how far it can stretch before it snaps. Eyes up pretty things everywhere he goes, glancing down at their left hands just to check, but nothing quite tugs on that string. Until one day it does when he's outfitting the security system at your house.
It's side work. Cash in hand, word of mouth. Something to keep him busy when on mandated leave. Something to keep in mind as his retirement from active duty creeps closer. And your husband is a real piece of work, all blustering braggadocio energy. Young buck, not knowing his place in the herd. Not knowing that he'd be better scratching his antlers off on a tree than going head-to-head with a gristled thing like John.
It's like John's energy, his presence in the house, sends alarm bells ringing in your husband's mind (Be the man. Don't back down. Puff up your chest and strut). And it plays so perfectly into John's hands because your young buck doesn't realise that what he's really doing is fawning. To John. (Look at me, be impressed by me!) He makes his biggest mistake in putting you down in front of him, trying to sidle up to John and create some kind of desperate camaraderie. Ordering you to bring tea to the men at work. Rolling his eyes at your attempts to talk, to ask questions about the work being done. Waving you off so he can stand and watch the proceedings. Like he could supervise. Like he has any clue what he's doing.
Only the promise of the long game keeps John from levelling him with a hard look, from calling him outblike he'd love to.
He hears you both in the in the other room, having swatted the young buck off like a particularly virulent pest. Noisy and bothersome. Not needed - or wanted- in this home. And entirely too stupid to realise that John wasn't being jocular in his dismissal.
You've been scribbling away for the past few days, something occupying your time, keeping you happy and hidden away in the kitchen.
"You're not serious, are you?"
"Well, yes," he hears the slight quaver in your voice before you find your footing. You've got at least a bit of spine. Good. "You said that I should find an occupation. Not just 'laze around the house playing housewife'. This is what I-"
"Oh come on, I didn't mean- You don't think that this is viable, do you?"
"Well... I love gardening. And I'm good at it. And there's no reason that it can't be more accessible for people, especially with the current economic-"
He cuts you off with a scoff. "Dear, just- I don't want you to be disappointed. I think you don't quite understand the time and effort this will take. And you know nothing of marketing, publishing. Why don't you put that away and start on dinner?"
And oh, isn't that delicious. He can taste it now, that idea that has been swirling. It's thick, almost tangible on his tongue. The tension in the house, the bitter lacryma of stifled tears. The slight acidity of words you left unsaid. It has his mouth watering, pupils dilating.
And when he's packing up that evening, tools and materials tucked in to the heavy workman's case, he swings by the kitchen on his way out. Catches the way something is jutting out slightly from the bin, lid slightly askew. When he pulls it out he realises it's some kind of notebook, carefully (lovingly) bound. Pictures pasted, mindmaps and notes and plans scribbled in the margins. Your gardening tips. Kitchen scraps, window boxes, rooftop plots. Urban gardening. It's deeply thoughtful, well researched.
A labour of love, lying in the rubbish.
Sweet, clever little thing. That just won't do.
He leaves your house with a little piece of you tucked away in his toolkit and a nice plan forming. He'll be back, of course, not quite finished with his work. He'd planted a few little links into the system he'd almost installed, projecting not just to the monitor in your home but also in his. Got to keep his eyes on you, keep you safe and cared for in ways that your useless husband can't.
Finding that book was a boon. He'd say it was divinely ordained if he believed in all that. It weighs heavy in his toolbox as he whistles out the door.
Now, how to get you alone and return it to you..

This idea may have been done before? I'm not sure, sorry! I've seen a lot of possessive John floating around. Tagging @stellewriites because I said I would last time, and you've been so encouraging of my nonsense.
Anyway I've got like 4 long-form WIPs that I'm working on, so I may never actually write this one but thought I'd share since that image set I just reblogged made me feral đ

JEALOUS HEESEUNG BORDERLINE HATE FUCKS YOU !
pairing situationship!heeseung x f!reader
warnings smut. mdni. p in v, manhandling, name calling, hair pulling, mean hee won't kiss you
Heeseung, all things considered, is a pretty chill and laid back guy. Not prone to big displays of jealousy, especially if anywhere public. Most of the time he's quietly laying back on a couch at a party across the room, watching you with a glint in his eyes as time and time again you reject yet another guy trying to sneak his way into your pants. Thereâs something about the way you so obediently glance his way every time someone tries to flirt you, how your expression slightly shifts when he slouches further into the soft brown cushions, legs spread almost as if to invite you over on his lap.
Itâs been months since you started fucking, and as embarrassing as it feels to admit, you two haven't really put a label on what your... status actually is. Youâre definitely more than friendsâthough you don't know if you would even consider Heeseung your friend in the first placeâbut you also don't believe you're anywhere close to being a thing yet. That litter sliver of something keeps you fucking hooked on Heeseung though, as bad for you as it is.
And he enjoys every second of it. How you're so loyal to him even when he doesn't give you any reason to be.
Heâs confident you'll follow him around everywhere like a little lost puppy as long as he keeps feeding you whatever crumb you need; a gentle brush of his hand whenever he greets you, a soft compliment whispered in your ear before leaving you to find something to drink, a sweet forehead kiss when at the end of the night you've both found your way between the bedsheets. Iâve got it under control, he thinks.
Yet he can't find any explanationâone that heâd make peace with, that isâfor the scorching rage that overcomes him whenever he sees you and your bestie walking hand in hand around campus. The slightest twitch to his eye when he notices how bright you seem to be around Jay, how hard you laugh at his jokes and how touchy you seem to be, shoving his shoulder away when he makes a stupid comment, yet letting your hand linger on the cotton of his shirt. Thereâs a different light coming from within you when he's around, and Heeseung fucking hates it with his entire being.
So really, he can't help it when he completely loses the cool he so desperately tries to maintain around you the one he catches jay staring way too long at your ass for it to be a mistake. Thereâs nothing Heeseung would have loved more than to beat him to a pulp, for looking at his girl like that.
Except you're not his girlâhe hadn't even realized he really wanted you to be until thenâso he can't do that. What he can do instead is take it out on your poor unsuspecting pussy though.
"You are such a nasty slut," he whispers against your lips as he pistons into your weeping cunt, ignoring every attempt you make to kiss him, biting down on your bottom lip when you don't catch the hint. "Walking around in that tight black skirt, for what?" It feels like he's spitting venom at you, a primal edge to his tone unlike anything you've ever heard from him. Despite everything, you'd be lying if you said it didn't make your pussy clamp even harder around him, trying to milk his girth for all itâs worth.
You take too long to reply for his liking, his hand digging almost hurtfully in your face to force you to look at him. "For. What?"
"Iâ fuck, i don't know."
He looks at you incredulously, like you must've gone dumb on his cock already, while his movements come to halt, despite your little cries and begs for him not to.
"Yes you fucking do," he spits, grabbing your thighs and flipping you over onto your knees. A little scream ripped out of you at the sudden motion as he manhandles you in whatever way he wants, paying no mind to any possible aching body part of yours or any discomfort you may feel. "Wore it to flaunt this ass around, didn't you? I know you did."
He lands a harsh smack on the skin of your bottom, kissing his teeth in annoyance when your entire body jerks forward, front collapsing on the bed. He eases his cock back into you in one thrust, setting a pace that is somehow faster than earlier. "Wanted Jay to bend you over like this, huh?"
"N-no! Iâ ngh." Your rebuttal is cut short by his hips slamming into yours in a harsher thrust than the previous, his thick hand pushing your head against the sheets, uncaring of all the drool that's dripping from your mouth, your eyes rolling into your skull. He plants one of his feet into the soft mattress, the new angle helping him reach so much deeper inside you as the hold on your hips becomes nearly unbearable, sure to leave a flashy bruise.
Good, he thinks. Let everyone know I own you.
"Oh, shut the fuck up." He grabs some of your hair, using it as leverage to fuck into you even harder, the mix of pain and pleasure so unbelievably delicious you donât even know what to do with yourself if not just lay there and take it all. "Thatâs all a slut like you is good for anyway, shut her mouth and let me use her pretty pussy as I please."

Hello!! I came from your single mom one shot and I am in love with how you write Logan. Could we have a worst!Logan and wife!reader at a bar and heâs getting hit on relentlessly by a girl who wonât take the hint even though he has stated that he is happily married MULTIPLE TIMES and then reader comes in and rips the girl a new asshole and Logan likes it a little too much and practically drags her home to fuck because of how hot he got from her getting angry and defending him?
How very Beth Dutton of you op! The girl that stands in front of him flashes him a smileâpearly whites, black hair that reaches down to her back, topped off with a low-cut shirt and a pair of jeans that draw the eye of everyone behind the barâeveryone except him that is.
He knows what she wants from him before she can utter a single word, eyes shamelessly moving across his body with not a hint of subtlety. A few years earlier and it might've worked, she's cute enough. A vixen, all doe-eyed and determined, if he was a younger man she might've been his type. But that's all in the past; she's cute, Logan thinks to himself, but she's not his wife. His eyes don't move from where you're standing at the bar, barely giving the girl more than a passing glance as she speaks. "Hey there, mind if I keep you company?" He almost rolls his eyes, but he keeps himself in check in hopes that he can resolve this without any trouble.
"I do unfortunately," he says, flashing the pretty gold band around his finger as he takes another swig of his beer. His fingers play with the ring around his finger, smiling to himself like a love-struck fool when he remembers what it symbolizes. He'd hope that would be the end of it, but unfortunately for him, it is.
The gal's either too drunk or too pig-headed to get the hint, so instead of backing away she leans in real close, too damn closeâclose enough that it starts to draw your attention from across the bar.
Suddenly your interest isn't in your drink anymore, and before you can walk closer Logan puts his hands up, mouths out lemme handle this, before speaking up again. "Listen, I'm a taken man." He says with a sigh, giving her his full attention. It doesn't deter her in the slightest, a coy smile tugging on the ends of her lips. "That's a shame. Your wife know you're here?" "She does," he nods with a smile, "and she's right over there." He points right to you, where you raise your glass with a thin-lipped smile, sarcasm evident in your body language. He can tell you're in a good mood tonight because you haven't dragged the girl by the hair yet, and he'd rather not ruin the night because she can't take a hint. Surely, she'll leaveâexcept she doesn't. No, she does the exact opposite; she looks back and sees you, laser-focused on the two of them, and with all the audacity in the world, she fucking smiles back. You almost shatter the damn glass in your hand. "Oh, that's alright," she whispers with a wink. "Lemme go talk to her." His eyebrow damn near reaches his hairline, looking at the young girl as if she's truly lost her damn mind. Normally he wouldn't give a damn if someone wants to catch their death, but he takes pity on her for the sole reason that he really doesn't want to get kicked out. "I don't think that's a good idea." "Don't worry," she says, and to put the icing on the cake she puts her hand on his chest, loops her fingers around his dog tags and tugs him down. "I can handle myself." With that one gesture he knows she's just sealed her fate. No, you can't, he wants to say, but she's already making her way across the bar where you stand, looking like hell itself. You know he doesn't have eyes for anyone else but you, but it doesn't matterâsomeone else touched what's yours, so you have to remind Logan where home is. He's not really sure if he should feel happy that his girl is so protective of him, or sad that he's about to get kicked out of his favorite bar. Logan sighs and puts his beer down, reaching into his pocket and dialing 9-1-1 just as the telltale sound of glass shattering echoes across the bar. It really is a shameâhe liked this bar too. The only good thing that comes from tonightâminus the visual of you with blood across your faceâis the jaw-dropping sex that ensues the moment the two of you get home, remnants of rage seeping through every touch as you drag him upstairs by the collar. He's more than happy to let you take the lead, content in being your personal scapegoat if it means he gets to see you bounce on his lap like a woman possessed.
Lips intertwined, clothes askew and hair tousled. The taste of ironâa split lip, he remembersâthen moans into your mouth when he remembers how you got it. Is it wrong to say you look your most beautiful when you're mad? He doesn't give a shit if it is, especially if his punishment is your pussy gripping him like a vice. He likes you like thisâjealous, protectiveâit's what drew him to you in the first place, how you bite down on what's your and refuse to let go. From the moment you saw him you staked your claim and he was more than happy to follow you for the ride. "You like it when she touched you?" You mutter, lips pressed against his as you ride him for all your worth. Sweat beads off his brow, eyes closed in bliss, he nods his head no but it's not enoughâyou want to hear him say it. You teeth dig into the skin of his shoulder, a delicious groan erupting from him as you repeat yourself. "Answer me Lo, did you fucking like it?" "No, noâ" he gasps, hands wandering across your body. "Wasn't even looking at her, swear to godâ" "And who were you looking at?" you ask, and the answer makes your walls flutter across his cock. He lets you hear him loud and clear, giving you a lop-sided grin as he thrusts up into you.
"You, sweetheart, only you." "Louder," you moan, scratching at the expanse of his back, encouraging him. He repeats himself, fucking into your gushing cunt, his words bringing you to a new high with every thrust. His words are long, drawn out, caught in his throat as he struggles between speaking and catching his breath. "Only got eyes for you babyâfuckin' christâ" He speaks long after you've stopped, so engrossed in pleasure you can barely hear anything beyond your ringing ears and the slap of your ass against his thighs. "All yours baby, all fuckin' yours."

please don't go 8x08 code - 646 words
"Don't go."
The words are trapped in a cage at the back of Buck's throat. Every time he's opened his mouth in the last week he's had to speak around them. He feels like a tiger pacing his enclosure, like he's going to snap at the bars if anyone gets too close.
"Stay."
He smiles when Eddie shows him house listings in El Paso. Smiles when Eddie invites him to the virtual tour. Smiles when Eddie tells him he's flying down to see the house in person. Smiles when he shows up at Eddie's house the night before his flight with another basket of scones because he baked and baked and baked but the words are still there, clawing at the bars trying to get out.
"Don't go."
His jaw hurts with how tightly he's clenching it when he slides into the driver's seat and starts the car to take Eddie to the airport. He's worried that if he opens his mouth at all he won't be able to stop himself from saying it. Won't be able to keep the constant thrum of "Don't leave me. Stay. Don't go. Please don't leave me" from passing his lips.
"Don't go."
He manages to say goodbye without the words tumbling out. Manages to watch Eddie walk through the departure doors. But then someone else must take over his body because he's parking his car in the tow away zone and ignoring the airport employee's yells that he can't park there and he's running.
"Don't go."
He surprises himself when the words actually leave his mouth. He clearly surprises Eddie too, because he turned around with wide eyes and looks at Buck like he's seen a ghost.
"Buck..."
"Eddie," Buck walks forward and pulls him into a bone crushing hug. Tries to put everything he's kept caged at the back of this throat into the hug. "D-don't go."
"I have to. Buck I have to get him back," Eddie says into his neck. Buck can feel a wet patch on his shoulder and he knows he's not doing any better.
"Please. Please come back," Buck says instead of what he wants to say which is "let me come with you."
"I will," Eddie pulls back enough that Buck can see his face. "I swear, I'll come back."
And Buck kisses him. He's a tiger that's escaped it's enclosure and is finally free after years of being trapped. He's a man standing in the middle of LAX kissing the love of his life, begging him to stay.
He's an idiot because Eddie is straight.
But then Eddie is kissing him back - Eddie. Eddie Diaz. His Eddie. - Is kissing him.
"I can't stay, but - but you can come with me."
"I've got to move my car," Buck laughs, a rush of relief and joy exploding out of him. He doesn't have any clothes except what he brought to Eddie's last night, but that doesn't matter.
"Okay," Eddie grins, soft and so fucking fond. It feels like all Eddie was waiting for was for Buck to ask him to stay and all Buck was waiting for was for Eddie to ask him to come with him.
By some miracle Buck doesn't have a ticket on his Jeep when he walks back outside. He doesn't bother driving to one of the lots, just spends the frankly insane amount of money on the valet and manages to get the last seat on Eddie's flight.
That night, when they're checked in at a hotel near the El Paso airport it's Eddie's turn to say it when Buck rolls out of bed to go to the bathroom.
"Don't go."
"I'm not going anywhere."
Inspired by @lonelychicago amazing art.

I'm feeling bitchily critical today so. Let's get critical.
Reasons why Season 8 of 911 (so far) sucks:
Bobby and Athena are aimless
They have no house. The logical development is for them to look for one, one for their future. That is theirs. Where are the house hunting woes? The disageeements and compromises? Are they ever going to have a chance to find a place they both love? Or build one, even?
Athena's job description is all over the place
She's giving school talks. She's conducting traffic stops. She's escorting a prisoner across state lines. She is mentoring new officers. She's a goddamn Sergeant but what is her job scope? Every single thing requiring the presence of police, apparently!
Hen and Karen have little direction for growth
The Mara adoption issue could have brought out more of their relationship, developed them in terms of relying on each other through a difficult time. The storyline with Ortiz could have really delved into the struggles of the foster care system, and how Hen and Karen broke rules designed to protect the kids. (Seriously, if a child is removed from a foster family, it's logical not allowing the foster parents to meet the child that was removed for the safety of the child). Where was the appeal to Ortiz as a mother? Where was the struggle? Where is the tension between the Wilsons and the Hans? Instead there was a Deux Ex Gerrard. And I am not even gonna start on the whole "why didn't you take leave for Halloween" shit, that stuff should have been settled when Denny was a baby. What are their next steps? Same old same old?
Gerrard is a joke
An established bigot and racist returns. He could have been a great way to show how the 118 has grown beyond him and his bullying. Instead they're cowed by him, and lets him yell at Buck? Whatever happened to the "who cares" courage in Season 7? And he gets the reward of his dream job?
Eddie is still not healed
He emotionally cheated on his girlfriend with his dead wife's doppelganger. Has he even processed what that actually means? No! His son moved to Texas. Has he coped with the loneliness in his house? Who knows? Certainly not the audience, since we don't see him go to therapy or, hell, have a full breakdown! He confides in people who aren't his friends, let alone his so-called best friend! Bobby gave him a prayer book but we don't even hear Eddie rage at a God who keeps putting devastation and challenges in his way. What wa the point of the prayer book then? He just danced in his underwear and somehow that made him smile and now he's moving across the country and, what, giving up on his home and his job? Is that really healing, Edmundo DĂaz? Or are you just running from the problem again?
Chimney has no internal or external motivation
He was providing for Mara for a few months. Was he stressed about it? Did he think about seeking a promotion for a higher salary? Also, he is an immigrant. Does that influence how he teaches Jee? Has he and Maddie, white suburban raised Maddie, ever discussed the potential problems Jee might face? Or whether they wanna include some Korean culture in Jee's education, since they gave her a Korean name? Does he ever think about any of these issues? Is he at all conflicted? What does Chimney want?
Maddie
She was the one who wanted to meet Tommy. Has she done so outside of the wedding? What was her opinion of him? Is Maddie content to stay in Dispatch in the exact same position? Has she any career ambition? And about Jee: does she never think about the Korean part of Jee? Connecting to her own culture? Learning Korean, maybe? That would have been interesting because perhaps she wants her daughter to connect to that part of her roots but Chimney doesn't, for his own reasons. Also, if she wants to have a second kid, why didn't she discuss it with Chimney outright before the pregnancy? Was she not taking the pill? Were they careless again? What would she do if Chimney didn't want a second child? Abort? Given how the first pregnancy was traumatic for the whole family, including her brother, this development is showing her to be pretty self-centered, frankly. I don't know this Maddie. She's not the same one that gave Buck her Jeep to escape, knowing that she'll be hurt by an abusive husband.
Brad
Why is airtime devoted to a character that is barely connected to the 118? What is the reason behind giving him so much focus? Is he supposed to quit acting and become a firefighter or something? What is the rationale for his existence?
.
.
And I haven't even touched on Buck or Tommy.
#911 critical#feeling bitchy#anyway.#it irks me when a story's potential isn't met#and there is so much potential lost

⎠a/n ; thank you for commissioning me @timesnewreader. i was... very excited to write this.... i hope u are okay with the direction i took....
⎠synopsis ; you start to understand the dynamic between them. or maybe all three of you, a little more.
or isagi teaching you how to make rin feel good while rins tied up.
tip jar | commission post (closed for now)
Isagi's hand is warm as it rests on your head.
You look up at him from where you're kneeling, craning your neck to try and get a look of his face. He notices quickly, instantlyâaffectionate as he lets his hand cup your cheek. His thumb brushes along your lip as he pets you.
A fuzzy feeling settles in your stomach at the touch and he smiles at you. Sun-warm, almost deceptively kind.
You can feel Rin's gaze on you too. Unreadable to you like always. Not quite cruel, not quite openly affectionate either. Something else simmering under the weighted teal irises that makes your stomach tie in knots.
"Don't be nervous," Isagi hums. Him and Rin lock eyes and for a split second, you almost think you understand them. "He won't act tough forever,"
"Shut up," RIn hisses. Isagi clicks his teeth.
"Lighten up first," Isagi says, shaking his head. He cards his fingers through Rin's hair. And then he tugs from the root, hard enough to make RIn hiss. His smile is the same - no traces of malice. "You're scaring her, y'know? Be civil."
Rin looks down at you again. On you? You don't really know. He doesn't look for long, and doesn't respond to Isagi when he talks. His eyes dart in another direction and he scoffs under his breath.
Isagi shakes his head. "You're so dishonest,"
They look at each other again, speaking without talking at all Rin clicks his teeth. Isagi sighs, shrugs, and directs his attention back to you.
"Sorry," He says, apologetic. Sincere. "We both want you here. Promise,"
It's like he's reading your mind, visible relief making your shoulders sag where you sit. Isagi's grin grows another size, pinching your cheek slightly. "You were worried, huh? How sweet."
You squirm a little. You can't find your voice for a minute or two. "A little. I don't... if Rin-kun isn't comfortable with it thenâ"
Isagi laughs.
And then, with no ceremony - he puts his knee between Rin's closed legs and shoves them apart. Rin snaps at him. Isagi keeps his legs forced open without concern.
Rin isn't any position to do anything anyway. You're knelt between his legs but he's got his arms tied - restrained to a chair per Isagis's request. He fights a blush as Isagi keeps his legs apart.
He's not naked, but you can see he's hard. His cock strains against the athleisure on hips - tenting the fabric slightly. Your eyes widen in surprise, and you look up at Rin whose still refusing to look at you.
"Promise he won't bite," Isagi says, encouraging you to touch him. "Not if I keep him restrained at least. It's okay."
You and Rin look each other this time. Rin's eyes lid as you crawl closer between his legs. Your hand is tentative, loosely cupping his cock.
The response is instant. A sharp hiss, dick twitching against your hand despite how lightly you've touched it. It emboldens you, enough to hold it at least. He's hard. You wonder if you did that to him. Some part of you can't believe it.
"See? He's just embarrassed," Isagi says, patient with you. With Rin too, you think. "He wants you make him feel good. Rin had a crush on you first, you know? Between us. I bet you want that too,"
You look up at him innocently. "I want to make you feel good too,"
Isagi lets out a labored breath. "Watching you makes me feel good. Rin-kun will pout if I get to you first," An eye roll. "Unfair right? But that's how much he likes you."
"Shut up already,"
Rin is blushing. Isagi laughs. "See? I'll tell you how to make him feel good. You'll get something nice after, okay?"
"Oh it'sâit,"
"Don't argue, 'kay? Go, get closer to him."
So you listen to him. You inch closer to Rin's lap and rest your hand on his leg. Isagi bends down on one knee behind you, keeping his legs apart when Rin tries to shut them closed. Undressing him for your ease of access, hands pushing his sweats down to his thighs.
At full height, his dick is bigger than you imagined it to be. Prettier too, somehow. It's gorgeousâtip flushed cherry red, with a long curve and veins that stand out. Mostly hairless except at the base, where it's well groomed. The hair grows thick still, contrasts so nice against the pale color of his cock. Pre-cum dribbles from the head, silky and and crystalline clear - laced with white.
You feel your head get heavy. A subconscious desire to get closer to it overwhelms your thoughts. Close enough to breathe on it. Rin huffs.
"You're making such a cute face," Isagi coos, amused by you. Embarrassment flares in your belly, tickles your skin. "He likes when you start light. Too much at once and he'll get overwhelmed. Go slowly,"
He instructs so gentle you don't feel condescended. Despite his smugness, his intention is so genuine it makes you flush.
You let your instinct take over. Your mind clouds, pouting your lips to press a soft kiss to the very base of his shaft. Wet and open mouthed, you rest and feel the weight of it. The pulse of it. His cock is so heavy against your face
You move up, kissing it slowly all the way to the very tip. You let your lips rest there. Rin looks down at you, chest heaving.
The obstinacy has melted off of him. Faster then you could've predicted. There's something...needy to it. Almost. Maybe you're reading it wrong.
"You're so good, hm," Isagi hums - standing on his knees behind you. His hand comes around your waist, palm resting on your midriff. "Learned so fast. Use your tongue,"
You dip your tongue into leaking slit on command. Rin cusses loud.
Without thinking, you open your mouth up enough to fit the tip of his cock into it fully. You don't take him all the way into your throat, heeding Isagi's advice to go slow.
"It's sensitive under the head," He directs. He's so comforting, so sincere. "Try it,"
You concentrate your attention there, pressing your tongue flat. Rin jerks above you - hips threatening to buck up into your throat. But Isagi uses both hands to hold him down by his thighs. Rin strains against it but Isagi is firm. You're reminded then that despite the difference in size between them, their athletic prowess isn't so different.
The thought sends you reeling.
"So desperate," Isagi taunts. "A pretty girl has your cock in her mouth and you get so worked up. What happened to your restraint and self-discipline, huh?"
"Fuck off," Rin swears. His voice lacking the composure you've come to associate with him so strongly. "Shut up before I go soft."
"As if you would. Can't cum without me telling you off, can you?"
You feel him twitch in your mouth and you try not to gasp at the reaction, proving itself in front of your eyes. Your eyes go wide and Rin looks down with an embarrassed blush and ohâ.
"See? Rin-kun only acts tough but truth is he can only take so much," Isagi hums. His hands slide up your chest and you feel him cup your tits - giving them an affectionate squeeze. "That's why we're spoiling him. He's being like this but he's happy you're pampering him. Right, Rin-kun?"
You look at Rin again and you think you're starting to understand. Just a little. How it goes between them. And now between you. The thought makes your pride swell.
"Rin-kun," You pull away, eyes blown wide in some sudden desire. "I like you."
A pause. Air being pulled into lungs, a held breath. Rin's eyes go wide and you watch as his cock dribbles again. Isagi freezes for a moment too before he laughs, laughs warm and affectionate and so loud.
"You caught on fast, huh?" Isagi says, hugging you from behind. His chin rests on your shoulder. "And me too, right?"
"Yeah, of course you too." You nod.
You understand it a little more clearer. Rin never does something he doesn't have a reason or desire to do. His ego doesn't work that way. Not combating Isagi, no matter how smug, is it's own form of submission you think.
"Let's keep going, okay? Without worry."
A weight lifted from your shoulders, you nod again. Open your mouth fully, careful as you stand up on your knees and get closer. The assurance instills confidence in you, makes it easier for you to go through the practiced motions. Your hands on Rin's thighs, corded muscle strained under your palms where you hold yourself up. Both you and Isagi holding his hips in tandem.
You let yourself take him in. Trapped betwen them, you swallow around Rin's cock. Careful to mind your teeth, the edges of your mouth stretch and ache to accommodate his length. The scent of him makes your head feel heavy, a strong musk and the taste of clean skin all over your tongue. Makes your mouth water, brain melting slow. The effort doesn't go unnoticed, Isagi whispering praises as you open up your throat to fit fully fit Rin's cock.
"You're so good. Just like that," He hums, giggling. "Even I can't do this well. So good with your mouth huh?"
You gag voicing a muffled 'thank you' and Rin curses above you. You feel him strain, muscles of his thighs shaking hard.
"Fuckâfuck, don'tâ"
You move then. Mouth full of spit, used to the feeling of his cock down your throat - you move bob your head, hollowing your cheeks. Your eyes prick with tears at the way he hits your throat now repeatedly but you push forward anyhow.
You want to see him cum. You want to make him cum.
You can only go for so long though, before your jaw starts to trie.
When you start to slow, Isagi is kind and does the heavy lifting for you.
His hands rest on the side of your head forcing you up and down. It sends a shot of lightning through you, arousal making your whole body shiver at the controlled force. Precise force. He holds you down but he's careful not to push you too far. You moan around Rin's cock in response to it.
Having your face fucked with Isagi as the driver makes your mind bend with unfiltered lust. Your legs clamp again, an empty ache in your cunt as you think about what he must be like when he fucks.
Rin doesn't make it out any better. You can feel him. How he starts tremble, how his voice goes shot - how his dick gets harder, twitches so violently in your mouth each time he bottoms out in your throat.
"Fuck," His head drops back in a groan. "Fuck I'mâ"
Isagi smiles a little.
"Be a good boy and cum down her throat like she wants,"
That's what makes him let go. Isagi holds you down as Rin cums with something that borders on a scream, straining against his restraints as his cum spills all the way down. It fills your mouth, the taste and the scent making you dizzy. It goes so far into your throat you don't taste it, rather you swallow it all in one go with little fuss other than a loud gulp.
"That's it," Isagi coos. "That's a good girl. Easy, easy. Breathe."
You cough as Isagi lets you off of Rin slowly, exhaling as you clear your throat. When you pull away, Isagi pulls you by your chin to tip your face over to meet his.
"Open your mouth, beautiful."
You do and Isagi smiles with pride. "You really swallowed all of it. Didn't even use your hands," He hums. "What a good girl."
You make a face of embarrassment. "Thank you,"
Rin makes a disgruntled sound. "Untie me before I fucking kill you,"
Isagi snorts, giving you a short kiss before going around to undo Rin's bindings. "Hard to take you seriously when you sound like that."
You sit where you are, in a mild daze you collect yourself. Lost in your own world, you don't notice when Rin finally gets untied.
It startles you when you feel him practically jump you. When his hands are free, he bends over the chair and brings your face to his. Big hands cradle your face as you feel him kiss you so hard it shakes you. More teeth than lip, rough but full of desire. You feel his tongue in your mouth even after swallowing his cum. At some point you give into it, hands clutching his shoulder as you struggle to breathe.
It's Isagi that pulls him off, a laugh on his voice - not mad at all.
"You're so aggressive when you get like this. Just be honest from the start next time instead of trying to eat her, dumbass."
Despite the bickering, Isagi bends down from where he stands to kiss Rin too and Rin lets him so easily you almost want to laugh. Rin must notice. He glares just a little but he looks embarrassed more than anything.
"You did good baby," Isagi praise, a hand on your shoulder. "What kind of reward do you want?"
You pause. "What does Rin-kun want?"
A blush paints him deep red and you ans Isagi sort of smile in mutual understanding. He frowns, bangs covering his face.
"Want you to sit on my face,"
You look at Isagi.
"Then that, if that's okay."
Isagi hums, a hand on Rin's nape. "More than okay. Guess it's fine to spoil him a little more."
Rin makes a disgruntled noise, but ultimately - he doesn't seem too unhappy with it either.
A very careful balancing act.

a slow life with lucius; fluffy smut; mating press; lowk breeding kink MDNI 18+
thinking about living a life with lucius, or hanno as you know him.
spending your days living a mundane life. tending to the farm, living amongst chickens and goats, making a simple living for yourselves while keeping food on the table. there's not much excitement here, but this beats what else the two of you could be doing. when you see the marred skin of his and remember the feeling of aches that will likely never truly subside, you know what else you could be doing.
you pray to your god that when that day comesâbecause you both know the day will come, rome is ambitious and she will not be stopped before reaching your homeâmay the victory be swift or may the death be merciful.
but you don't have to think of these things when you're scolding hanno for being too rough with the crops. he'll tell you it is impossible to be too rough with crops, their deaths rarely come at the hand of the farmer and are usually caused by neglect. and while he is right in his own regard, you'll still send him a pointed look that makes him smile.
there is much time in your day for basking in the glory of the other. under the roof of your home, behind closed doors to keep your neighbors away, you stand in the center of the room, his arms over your shoulders and your arms around his waist. you've been together for some time now, you've done this with each other often, but it truly never gets old. you never get tired of hanno taking his time with you, cherishing every single patch of your skin as they all come together to make the person he loves most.
he doesn't tell you much about his past, but he tells you that you're all he has. it's the two of you, and hopefully eventually a few little others who can live in a humane world, god willing. but for now, it's just the two of you.
yet, the things hanno does to you makes it seem like he wants to increase the population of your home sooner rather than later. the way he bends you body with the weight of his own, pushing your thighs to your chest and hooking your calves over the corded muscle of his shoulders. the way he stares deep into your eyes as he gives you even deeper strokes, pushing his cock further into you time and time again until you're so sure you're going to have to start breathing for him, even when he's taking your breath away from you with each draw back.
"you're okay, yeah?" he always asks you, although in different variations. your favorite will always be the confident way he asks you, when the corner of his lip pulls up and he says, "you like this? do you enjoy what i do to you?". it's simply the way he says it, deep timber of his voice twisting the tone of the syllables until it sounds like he already knows the answer.
you cannot see how he wouldn'tâwith your cunt leaking around him and your moans filling up the room.
still, you always make an effort to answer him, no matter the strength of the spell he has put you under that time.
he's always so pretty above you, whether it be when the sun slips through the window and illuminates a blue iris, painting the replica color of a sea you know so well, or when the white light of the moon slips through and highlights the evidence that the sun has made on his skin.
big hands touching you everywhere, lips doing the same, but sometimes, you'll only let him get so far. at times when his hands slip down your body, heading towards a spot he has not left alone after the initial discovery, you'll have to swat them away. he's grown to expect it now, rolling his eyes half heartedly and fighting off a grin as he raises his eyebrows in an expression of insincere frustration.
"covered in dirt," you'll explain, knowing what will come next.
the way he bends down, tip of his nose brushing against yours as he tells you, "as is the rest of me ... and yet."
and he's always right. there seems to be a certain amount of the earth that both you and hanno will forever carry with you. a mark of the life you're so privileged to currently live, therefore more of a beautiful reminder than a nuisance.
so, as you let his fingers slip down to the most delicate parts of you, happily settling into the feeling of multiplied pleasure, you grin at him and echo his words.
"and yet."

I keep thinking abt reader being mad at guard dog Simon, so when they go shopping she holds him back and points to the sign on the door,
âNo pets allowed.â
before walking into the shop without him.
ahahaha -> more here
He raises his eyebrow when you point it out, one hand pressed firmly against his chest while the other juts a thumb out at the sign. His foot drops from where it was suspended in the air, about to follow you into the store. Ghost tilts his head appraisingly at you.
"Oh, tha's how it's gonna be, innit?" A smirk plays at the corner of his lips. Cute how you're acting out. He's not even mad, simply amused at your clever pettiness. "This the game you wanna play?"
The hand on his chest tenses and curls at the fingertips, an irritated scowl gracing your expression. It's the exact opposite of his own entertained one. You're so fun when you get like this. More biting. It keeps things interesting. It gives Ghost an excuse to bite back.
"I'm not playing any games, Simon," You claim, emphasizing it with a push to his chest, but it does nothing. He doesn't give you the satisfaction of making him step back because you get so titillated when he's a dick. "The store says no pets allowed, so you're gonna have to wait out here. And if you continue to bark nonsense like a mutt, I'm gonna put a muzzle on you."
His eyes flash something wild and Ghost is about to shuffle a threatening step towards you, but thanks to Soap, you're spared from his retaliation when he intervenes, putting a hand on your shoulder. "Sweetheart, no need to be so mean to the dog." He sends you an admonishing look before giving Ghost a more forgiving one. "You're a good boy, Simon; I know you'll have to stay out here, but you'll get a treat once we get home if you're good."
Soap pointedly squeezes your shoulder when he says treat and you give an undignified squawk. "But he's been soâ"
"I think he's been behavin' just fine."
"For you, maybeâ"
"That's enough." Soap frowns at you and begins shepherding you into the store. "Don't go actin' like an untrained pup; you're supposed to be Ghost's owner. Act like it."
"... Fine," You grumble under your breath, "but he only gets one treat from me. If he wants more, he'll have to earn it."
"Aye, f'course." Soap looks over his shoulder at Ghost with a puckish grin. "Hear that, Ghost? Think you can earn more treats?"
"Naturally," Ghost says, locking eyes with you when you sneak a peek at him. His lips spread up into something cocky. "I'll get what I want in the end. I always do."

I think something that's bothers me about how folks talk about mouthwashing is how they talk about Swansea. It's either "Swansea would have killed Jimmy immediately if Anya had told him" or "he knew and he did nothing just like curly." because, to me at least it leaves out a lot of nuance to his character and situation. Curly and Swansea are really good foils to each other, one who's got a reputation for being the kind and helpful captain but in the end does nothing to truly protect the crew from Jimmy, and one who's gruff, harsh, and cruel but genuinely tries to help in the background, the reliable mechanic.
(read more for a long Mouthwashing character ramble tw for unwanted pregnancy and SA)
Because Curly is the one with the power. He doesn't take what Jimmy did seriously enough. And you can say that he might not have known fully what Jimmy did, but I think the "I told you" pregnancy conversation and his reaction to Jimmy right before the crash ("come on we'll get through this together. We'll figure it out, you've had hard times before-") are indicators that he knew, but he still chose to stick by his friend and treat it like a "mistake" rather than what it really was.
Now that's my own personal speculation of course, there's no outright scene of her telling him "your best friend assaulted me", but I think there's enough evidence in game through Anya and Curlys interactions to say that he knew, and he knew before Anaya knew she was pregnant. He had a fully functioning ship and four fully functional cryo-pods. He could have at least given Anya more security, kept her far away from him, and at most forced him into the cryopod until they got back to earth. Jimmy STILL had full, uncontrolled access to the cockpit AFTER his freakout with curly. AFTER Anya tells curly she doesn't feel safe with him. AFTER Curly finds out he raped Anya. He's so focused on seeing the good in his friend that he does NOTHING to protect Anya, doesn't strip away not one of Jimmy powers as copilot and consequently endangers her and the rest of the crew.
Curly was the captain, he had the power to relegate Jimmy to the fucking storage closet if he really wanted, at least put him in the cryopod until they got back to earth. In fact, he was the only person above Jimmy in terms of rank on the ship, but he chose to do nothing. He chose to let Jimmy continue as acting co-pilot, chose to comfort him rather than actually confront him. Slides off his weird sexual comments as jokes "So what's this about horses?"
Now let's compare that to Swansea, the mechanic.
We don't have any evidence that Swansea knew about what Jimmy did until after the crash ("it's been her telling me things") where they were trapped with no captain, barely any rations, and a single cryopod that he kept hidden away in the one room he had the key too (and the only room that could lead into medbay). He didn't use it for himself, he makes it clear he didn't intend on getting off this hunk of metal in his last few conversations with Jimmy.
Swansea as the ship's mechanic, was used to fixing things in the background. He didn't need to get along with anyone to keep the ship running, he didn't need people to like him to keep them safe. We see that with Daisuke. He's harsh on him, for sure, but he leaves constant notes to help him learn. Genuinely tries to keep him out of harm's way when it comes to more dangerous jobs. We know Anya was scared of Jimmy getting a weapon, she hid the gun case in the medical bay even knowing she would never get it open. We can see Swansea and Anya off on their own towards the first days after the crash, and Swansea still has a tight grip of the axe weeks and months later.
I personally think that was him trying to keep Jimmy from having access to a weapon. The only time Jimmy gets the axe while Swansea is alive is when Anya Specifically asks him to use it to get medical supplies. I don't think that's a coincidence.
Swansea, like any good mechanic, was quietly trying to keep things running out of Jimmy's sight. It's not until everyone is dead or dying that he snaps, that he finally takes direct action. But it was too little too late.
Both Curly and Swansea thought they were doing the right thing, helping in their own way. Curly genuinely wanted to see the good in Jimmy, wanted it to just be some challenge they could overcome, but in doing so he failed to see the monster right in front of him. He had all the power (in context of the crew, the company is a whole other can of worms I have so many other thoughts on), but he was too afraid to use it. Hell, he was DISCOURAGED to use it if the memo about HR complaints are anything to go by. Swansea, on the other hand, never trusted Jimmy, never even really liked him, but he didn't want to make anything worse either. He didn't know what would actually set Jimmy off, or what he was capable of, and aside from just straight up killing him what else could he do that wouldn't just push Jimmy further off the edge? Like with the foam. "One wrong move and you'll rip this ship a new asshole", he worked carefully, hiding the last pod from Jimmy, keeping the only other weapon on himself, guarding the only other entrance into Medbay, but Jimmy was escalating quickly. He underestimated how far Jimmy was willing to go, just like Curly had, and in the end suffered the consequences.
The only character who actually understood how dangerous and unstable Jimmy was is Anya. She knew the moment she found out she was pregnant he would hurt her ("you won't let me protect myself"). He wouldn't be able to take it, he would do something drastic. She knew he was escalating the longer they were stranded. Anya is the only crew member who truly understood how dangerous Jimmy was and took direct action.
And interesting thing to me is that she doesn't just kill herself. She locks herself in the medbay. She could have waited for Jimmy to sleep, or locked herself in the cockpit, but she locked herself in the medbay with Curly. She knows that with her gone there would be no one left to take care of him, she knew Jimmy would continue to escalate his abuse, and with her gone all of his anger and fear and guilt would turn on Curly.
And wouldn't you know it? She was right. Without Anya to stop him, he takes curly out of the bed, forces him upright into the cryopod, and forces a man with no skin, no arms, no legs, and infected tissues to be frozen for 20 years while the rest of his crew Rot. And that's only what we know to be reality- if any of his delusions had some basis in reality he could have done so so much more. Anya is the Only one to take reasonable, direct action to keep herself, and then Curly, safe.
But she didn't have enough power over Jimmy to truly protect herself. She didn't have the code to the gun case, she didn't have a weapon or a rank to fall back on. She was outnumbered by men who she knew from experience either wouldn't or couldn't keep her safe, and she was heavily pregnant with a baby she didn't want and most likely couldn't even get enough nutrients to sustain either her or the fetus. She was physically weakened and trapped in a stranded ship with her abuser with no way home and a medical miracle (curse) in Curly.
This game is a really good reflection of reality, in my opinion as an abuse survivor. Some people will see them as "one of the boys" and constantly excuse or downplay their actions (Curly), some people will do small things in the background, recognize the abuse and disprove, but don't want to get in the way or make things worse (Swansea), and some people are just straight up oblivious/naive (Daisuke). But in the end, it's the system that allows abuse and incentives coverups to keep peace or save face that really allows abuse to fester and escalate.
Which is why I personally have a problem with the idea that Anya should have just Told A Different Man because it ignores the very real chain of power and her own agency in her story, AS WELL AS the idea that Swansea and Diasuke knew but didn't care because that's just not reflective of real life. Not every man is some rapist apologist who doesn't care what abusers do until it happens to them, some people just don't know what to do, or don't have any good options that wouldn't result in further abuse. Hell some people just don't even fucking notice! Not everyone has had exposure to the signs or knows what to look for.
It's easy when looking at fictional depictions of abuse to say "well if I was there I would have just punched him/killed him/called the police" but real life, in that moment, its never going to be clear cut. You can call out abuse, but that might just lead to that abuser taking it out on their abuse victim later. They could even start to target you for daring to speak out, or try to hurt you and cut you off from the person being abused. You can know all the right steps and the right programs, but in the moment, when faced with a real situation where someone could get hurt or even killed? You stumble. You think things over, you don't try and make any direct moves that would set their abusers off. Sometimes that's a good instinct, and sometimes that just lets abuse escalate. It's never a good situation, and it's never actually anyone's fault but the abusers. And this way of thinking also conveniently leaves out the survivor of this abuse, and portrays them as someone who needs to be saved, rather than someone who needs support and resources to save themselves. It also very conveniently lets the company that Put Anya in this situation in the first place get off Scott free.
The solution isn't "oh one of the men on board should have personally killed Jimbo and saved Anya all by himself" its "Anya deserved the support of her crewmates instead of being forced into close proximity with her rapist and also maybe Jimmy shouldn't have access to the fucking controls or medbay or any weapons- AND ALSO the crew shouldn't have financial incentives not to report things to HR"
#yall thought this was a curly and swansea analysis?#nope got distracted with Anya#my beloved đđ#i just dont like the very black and white analysis ive seen going around#the nuance of this game and their situation is truly the best part#i also think the men of the crew and centered too much in discussions of Anyas assault#mouthwashing#anya mouthwashing#curly mouthwashing#swansea mouthwashing#stari wont shut up#yall take a shot everytime i said escalate wtf#read a thesaurus or something me. damn

Buck could fill a small bakery with the amount he's baked in the past few weeks. He cleaned out the flour shelf at his local corner market, used a coop's worth of eggs, pushed his mixer to the limit, and had his oven working near constantly. Every neighbor on his floor and everyone he's passed in the lobby has had a loaf of some kind left on their doorstep or politely shoved into their hands. Everyone at the station is begging him not to overload them on anymore sugar - they'll take the carb-loaded meals he makes at work but avoid Buck the moment he enters the bay doors with a basket of saran-wrapped sweet bakes.
The worst part is that it's not even working anymore. It never really distracted him enough to not want to call Tommy, just put his hands and head to use for an hour or two at a time so that he couldn't text or call.
But now there's nothing left to bake with. And Eddie is looking at houses in El Paso. And everyone has family to go home to, except for Buck. And every reason he has for not being the one to reach out first goes out the window.
After a few rings, Tommy answers with a questioning: "-Buck?" and it's a gutpunch he doesn't need today but he's already feeling like shit so the pain just gets absorbed into the rest of it.
"H-hey, Tommy." It feels good to say his name under- well, not better circumstances than addressing his broken heart, but something with a bit of tentative hope at least.
And it's good to hear his voice. The voicemails and audio notes and videos from their time together have soothed him and tormented him at different times, but hearing Tommy respond sends a pang of longing through him.
"Um. I-I, uh."
"Are you okay?"
A bitter sound trips its way out of Buck's mouth. "No. No, I-I'm not okay."
"Are you hurt?"
The urgency in Tommy's voice thrills him; he still cares. But Buck doesn't want to misrepresent himself, doesn't want to trick Tommy into caring about what he's going through.
"Guess that depends."
"On what?"
"What kinda hurt you mean."
There's an inhale across the line. "What can I do?"
Tears prick at the corners of Buck's eyes. "I just- need someone to talk to." He doesn't say: even though we're not together anymore, can we still be friends? because even though he's missed Tommy being in his life, he doesn't know if he could be just friends.
"Okay." Buck hears some rustling in the background, footsteps, background noise receding. "I'm here. Talk to me."
Tommy wants to hear what Buck has to say, he always did. So Buck talks. He tells Tommy about Eddie moving away, and Tommy listens. And when it gets too much he tells Tommy about a new niece or nephew of his on the way, and Tommy offers his sincere congratulations. And then he tells Tommy about his baking coping mechanism and Tommy quiets.
So much so that Buck checks to see if the call dropped.
"I'm on my fifth engine," Tommy admit. "I keep taking them apart and putting them back together until they work better than before. But everytime I was done I had to start again, fix another broken thing, because I couldn't fix.."
Buck takes an unsteady breath. Us. "Me."
"No," Tommy says emphatically. "I couldn't fix me. Too broken to be good enough for you."
It's a heartwrenching confession, but Buck feels a smile beneath the tears sneaking down his face. "You don't think I'm broken? Nobody stays for me, Tommy. At some point I gotta realize I'm just not someone people wanna stick around for in the long run."
"Evan.."
Buck breezes over the sound of his name in Tommy's mouth, can't dwell on how good it feels because it won't last. "Guess neither of us are forever guys, huh." His heart, bruised and battered, bleeds a little more. The tears stream freely now. He sniffles, but manages to steady his voice as he says: "I loved you. That was real."
Tommy's breath hitches. "I was a coward."
Buck nods. Cries some more. They're both fucked up.
Tommy hesitates, but then: "I'm off-shift soon. We could.."
He leaves it hanging. There's so many ways Buck could finish that sentence, most of them unbearably hopeful. He doesn't want to stay in his empty apartment anymore. "Yours?" His voice is a little wet. "Maybe I could help you with that engine."
Tommy's breath of amusement is a balm to Buck's aching heart. "You know something about vintage cars I don't?" It's teasing, and gentle, and Buck has missed this.
"Maybe. Maybe trying to do it alone is the problem."
Another breath of laughter, followed by resignation in Tommy's voice. "Yeah. Maybe you're right."
Buck listens to him breathe for a moment: in, out, in..
"I'll meet you at mine."
Buck's poor heart beats a little stronger.
*
It was more than an hour later, of battling crosstown traffic and then letting himself into Tommy's house because Tommy had explicitly told him to use the spare key. They never gotten to the point of swapping keys. That probably should've been a step they didn't skip over. Buck's too-long legs had skipped too many for Tommy's comfort.
He pushes all thoughts of that aside. He's not perfect, he's too much, but Tommy agreed to see him. Tommy wants.. he's not sure.
Buck stands in the little living room, surveying Tommy's space while his mind spirals, heart yoyo-ing between hope and hopelessness. He doesn't know how much time passes when the front door opens and Tommy appears in the entryway.
He looks good. Tired, if the dark circles under his eyes are anything to go by, but good. His hair is a little longer all over, and it suits him. Buck wants to tell him as much but he can't seem to say anything.
Then Tommy says, "Hey," soft and concerned and fond, a sad smile at the corners of his eyes.
And Buck's tears threaten back into his own. "Hey." His voice is watery and brittle.
Tommy's there in three strides, gathering Buck into his arms, and Buck lets himself be wrapped in an embrace. Winds his arms around Tommy and presses into his solid warmth. Breathes him in as the tears come.
He feels safe. Seen. His heart cradled in care the way his body is cradled in Tommy's arms.
Buck takes a deep, steadying inhale of Tommy's scent and pulls back enough to look him in the face. His hands loose their grip at Tommy's shirt, smoothing to palm him through the cotton.
"About that engine.."
Tommy's smile is wide enough to crinkle his eyes in that way Buck loves, with joy etched in the creases.
"I wanna help you, if you'll let me. We could make it work. Together."
Tommy's eyes glisten. His smile breaks into a grin. "I'd like to try that."
buck probably called tommy every chance he got when they were together. driving home from work and stuck in traffic, itâs time to call tommy and tell him about his shift. late night in bed and heâs struggling to fall asleep without him, tommyâs soft voice will lull him to sleep from the other side of the phone. both on shift and the calls had been particularly slow, he will go and sit on the roof with tommy on loud speaker and they will just talk about anything and everything.
and when buck finds out that eddie is thinking about moving back to texas, tommy is the only person who he wants to talk to about it. so he finally gives in and calls. and of course, tommy will answer.

Post Episode 8x08 CODA/Continuation
Content: Light angst, Buck spiralling, Buck's abandonment issues/running thoughts/(has ADHD), BuckTommy hints at the end.
Word Count: 1,965
Started writing this when the episode ended, please enjoy!
---
The sign goes out front of Eddie's house two weeks later, Buck helps to dig the hole. Buck helps talk to the realtor. Buck talks Eddie down from a three-bed home with an attic office in a HOA suburb and helps him find a respectably sized two bed that will leave him with money to renovate the bathroom and add a ramp up to the door.
Buck bakes a million cookies and eats them while Eddie has meetings with realtors. He sets out sweet breads and muffins when Eddie has an open house, and he happily serves them to people, "yes, there is a gluten free option! I was playing around with xanthan gum, so it shouldn't- oh, you're too kind."
All through it all, Buck focuses on Eddie, and he tries to ignore the ball of panic that's growing and growing and growing, as Eddie calls his mom and dad, and talks to Chris, and they're discussing going to view the home together and-
"I'll be there in two days, buddy!" Eddie says to Chris, a smile wide on his face while he put the autographed picture of the Hotshots cast into a wallet to keep it safe. "I can't wait to see you; we can talk without it lagging."
Buck takes a deep breath.
"Buck's not coming, LA won't survive if we both are off work."
Buck takes the butter off the heat, starts mixing in the sugar.
"I was talking it over with Grandpa, and we can go to the aquarium while I'm there. I'll even get to cheer you on in your chess match."
Chris groans. "You don't cheer during chess matches, dad, you have to be quiet."
Eddie laughs, and Buck needs to savor that sound. Needs to bottle up the sound of his best friend, and the kid he loves to the moon and back, teasing each other because he doesn't know how long he'll have this for. "Well, okay, you'll just have to teach me what to do, Mijo. I've never been to a chess match before."
The flour comes out of the microwave and Buck mixes that in, the soothing fold-fold-fold making his raging heart beat easier to ignore.
"You've never played chess before," Chris teases.
Buck spares a glance at Eddie, and he's fondly smiling at the tablet, and he says, "Well, you'll have to teach that too. Need to understand how you're winning, kid."
Buck is trying his best to be happy for Eddie, desperately putting his issues to the side, he hasn't even mentioned Tommy with all the baking he's been doing.
Eddie, graciously, hasn't mentioned how Buck has gone back to how he was the exact week after Tommy dumped him.
Or perhaps Eddie hasn't noticed with all the preparation and the legal jargon and clearing out everything to make the house look pretty for viewings, and Buck-
Buck really wants to talk to someone.
Eddie's leaving, Bobby is busy building a house, Hen, Maddie, Chimney-
Everyone's moving forward towards something happier. And Buck's stuck trying not to tie his best friend to a city with his sad puppy dog eyes and a pout, all while missing his ex so much that focusing on Eddie leaving drowns out that pain and fills it with something different.
"Buck?"
Buck jumps, dropping his spatula into the bowl. "Huh? W-What's-"
"Chris hung up, he's got school tomorrow."
Buck picks his spatula up, continues mixing his cookie dough. It's as he folds a third time that he notices he forgot the chocolate chips.
"More cookies?"
Buck forces a smile on his face, ignores the floundering puttering in his heart that tells him he needs to call someone before this becomes unsustainable. Baking isn't distracting him, it's not-
He wants Eddie to stay, he wants Chris to come home, he wants a barbecue in Bobby's backyard with his family-
He wants to call Tommy.
"It's for the viewing tomorrow," Buck says, proud of how even his voice sounds, how it doesn't even sound like a lie.
Eddie sidles up to the counter, looking into the bowl. "You don't have to try buttering up potential buyers with sugary goods. I know you set a precedent for the first one, but I don't want you to feel like you have to."
Buck puts the bowl and spatula down and bumps his hip into Eddie's as he starts greasing up the pan. "If I sweeten them up, maybe they'll actually buy, and you can leave quicker."
The free-sounding tease is easy, it's easy to fake, it's been easy to fake since that day he picked up the tablet and saw the houses. It's been easy to fake since Tommy dumped him, and he had to crawl out of his home and go to work and look somewhat put together, so no-one was scared on their calls. It's been easy to fake since Abby left him at the airport, and with a home that wasn't quite his, and an uneasy feeling in his heart that she wasn't coming back. It's been easy to fake since he was sixteen years old, and Maddie was leaving and-
Maddie, Abby, Tommy, Eddie.
People leave, and that's okay, and it's selfish to force them to stay. No matter how much he wished they would choose to stay.
Buck scoops out a glob of dough and drops it onto his pan.
Eddie rolls his eyes. "Okay, bud, I'm gonna have a beer while you finish with...that."
Buck sets up the mixer to bake a cake after he puts the cookies in the oven.
---
Buck drops Eddie off at the airport and spirals.
The goodbye wave feels robotic, despite knowing that Eddie will be back in a week, even if it's just to start packing up his life to move it hours away. His phone sits in the dock on the dash, and Buck-
Buck doesn't have anything to distract himself from the yawning emptiness inside him.
Nothing to put his mind to, nothing to focus on, just a whole lot of nothing.
The nothing that has been eating away at every positive thought and coping skill he'd put into trying to ignore how much he missed Tommy. The way Tommy would rub his arm and pull him in for a hug when he was feeling low. How Tommy would sarcastically tease him when his anxiety spiked, until Buck couldn't even remember he'd been anxious. How they could sit in silence and not have to chat, and it was just peaceful, and it put Buck at ease, and Tommy wouldn't even mention when Buck's leg started tapping, he'd just put a hand on Buck's knee and lean his weight into-
Fuck.
Tommy would have been a rock through this, platitudes about Eddie not being dead, stop panicking. "I can fly a helicopter, babe, just say the word and you can visit."
Except, Tommy isn't his rock anymore. He's a hurricane that has Buck unmoored and swirling in an abyss of panic and loneliness and, fuck, shit, fuck, Buck has to talk to someone. Or bake something. Or go to the middle of nowhere, with no reception, and scream at the sky.
Everyone's busy. Eddie's on a plane. No-one...he has-
"Buck?"
Buck jolts, staring down at the phone now in his hand, Tommy's face filling the screen, his nose scrunched and looking confused, concerned and cold all in one expression.
So closed off.
"I-I didn't mean to call," Buck whispers, his voice weak and thready even to his own ears. "Hi. Uh, I'll just, uh, hang up."
Except Buck doesn't, he stares at Tommy and feels his heart stutter.
Tommy raises an eyebrow, and Buck watches the cold melt off Tommy's face, leaving only confusion and concern.
"What's happening, Buck?"
"I...just dropped Eddie off at the airport, and I'm sitting at the drop off spot in the taxi ranks, and-"
Tommy's confusion disappears, and his eyes soften, and he's openly concerned and it's like a knife in Buck's chest.
Buck lets out a hoarse laugh. "I've held it in for weeks, not calling, and my best friend leaves and it's like I can't help it- Jesus." Buck runs a hand down his face, he feels like a mess.
"Why did you call me, Buck?"
Because it was habit for six months straight, because every time Buck's been sad since the breakup he's had to physically remove himself from his phone to stop himself from calling Tommy, because Buck just wants to have Tommy as his, and he can't seem to move on despite everyone else seeming able to.
"Everyone else...is moving forward, making families and living their lives, but I'm-"
Buck should hang up, forget about this, say 'sorry, bye asshole', and block Tommy's number once and for all.
Except-
"I'm stuck, stuck on that day in my loft, wondering what happened and how that occurred, and all I've wanted since the day it happened was to call you and fix it or-or, I don't know...I just feel so incomplete here. Unsatisfied. Nothing-nothing makes sense."
Buck rolls on.
"And Eddie told me not to call, so I didn't, except then Eddie decided he wanted to move to Texas and I couldn't be selfish and ask him to stay, so instead I've been helping him, helping him leave my life, because then at least I helped control it."
Buck chokes up.
"Because he's an adult with different priorities, and he can make his own decisions and it's my job as a friend to support him, and I guess you'd know that too if you still talked to him, or hey, maybe he would have stayed for you." He's fucking it up, finally got Tommy on the phone and rather than giving Tommy all the reasons they could work, and he should stay, he's dumping all his fears about Eddie leaving. "And I- I'm not making sense, I'm all over the place, this is not what I wanted to say at all, I had a whole speech about how I love you, and I deserved better, and-"
"Are you safe to drive?" Tommy asks, his voice cutting through Buck's monologue.
Buck bites his lip and nods his head. Of course, Tommy doesn't want to hear about his problems, they're broken up.
"Yeah, yeah, I..." Buck sniffs, wipes at his face despite it being dry, and forces a smile on his face. "I'm just a little sad, sorry for calling."
Tommy shakes his head, and he looks like he's in physical pain, and God, Buck feels like an asshole. He's so selfish, and he should have just thrown his phone out and got a new number after the breakup if he knew he was just going to trample over boundaries.
"No, don't be s- I mean, okay, okay. This sounds like- Eddie left? No, this is a conversation for in person," Tommy sounds just as confused and lost as Buck, which isn't nice, because Buck expects Tommy to be a rock, to be steady, to be- well, that went out the window the night they broke up.
"In person?" Buck wonders aloud.
Tommy hums, and his nose scrunches up, and he puts a finger to the bridge of his nose. The video feed is shaking like the phone in his hand is shaking. Buck swallows and waits for whatever emotional turmoil Tommy is experiencing to pass.
"Drive yourself to mine," Tommy orders.
Buck stares at the screen in shock. "W-What? Tommy, I- no, I-" A taxi starts honking their horn behind him.
"Mine," Tommy repeats, sure, and despite everything it makes that emptiness in Buck feel a little smaller, like Tommy is filling it with just the promise of a conversation. "Sounds like you need to get going. See you soon, Evan."
Tommy hangs up, and Buck spirals, but he starts the car anyway and drives to Tommy's with a spark of something in his chest.

Excuse me? Oh no
Part 1 - curiosity
platonic!yandere!batfam x reader
Warnings: this was made with MALE reader in mind but please interpretate the gender however you like, the reader here is minor coded but no confirmed age, invasion of privacy, out of character depictions, this is a joke fic but taken seriously, mentions of kidnapping, no beta we die like jason
Dividers by aquazero
(this is a series) part one (your here) , part 2 , part 3, part 4
PLOT: you were given a phone, but your "family" can't help but feel nosy about your own privacy
You hate it here. There was no doubt to that, you have been held hostage by the Wayne's for a couple of months now and it was terrifying AND somewhat annoying. You don't these guys, you haven't met them until like when you were kidnapped, it was horrible.
They promised you can have boundaries, they broke those, privacy, you don't know they don't actually allow that, you felt like they were trying to be as considerate to you as possible for you to stay and you can't help but be in sort of awe, they are your kidnappers and despite their possessive and terrifying tendencies you felt like they geniuely cared for you (you didn't even wanna be here), so to cope with this situation you do what other people do- staying on social media.
Bruce gave you a new phone a few weeks ago and you have been obsessively using it so you could feel you have security again, not ideal nor healthy but hey, what else is there? You found a way to log in into your old Tumblr and/or Wattpad account, obviously you were trying to hide th fact from the bat family, you would be lectured for hours! So you tried to keep it in a down low, removing every search, hiding apps, deleting shit is saddening but it's for your safety and security.
Damian. He was the first to notice you spending much more time on your phone recently and as the little as he is, he tries peeking behind on what your doing but can't see clearly but he sees words? No texting- what is it your reading? "What is that?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and weirdly stern tone of voice, you flinched and quickly existed the app "o-oh! nothing." You are horrible at lying when it comes to Damian, he makes you feel.. uneasy.
Damian wasn't convinced as expected and he tries to grab the cellular device in your hand and with your idiotic instincts you slapped his hand away, he gasps and he turns irritated. That wasn't your best move. "How could you? All I want is to make sure you're safe and this is how you react?!" He huffs and now you're scared, like they are always so unpredictable when they are mad.
"i-im sorry." You apologized, you wish that Damian doesn't convince Bruce to put you back in the white room. It was torture, Damian scoffs and walks away, you were left shaking, what happened just now..? You just went back reading a stupid FNAF fic to calm your nerves (you are such a weirdo)
It was dinner time, you were eating in the so called "room" you were in everyday, Bruce said you weren't ready to eat at the dinner table, whatever that means. Alfred bought you your food, you thank him and he left, is the grandpa okay?
As you eat you listen in the conversation in the dinner table, "When will we ever have them eat over here?" Seemingly to be Dicks voice, he was the one that seemed to be the most clingy to you. "When they are ready." Bruce said to him in a stoic tone. You continue to listen in..
"Father, there's something I feel that needs your attention." Damian announces, oh no what is he going to do? Bruce perks his attention to Damian with the 'hm?' sound. "I feel that Y/N is hiding something from us. Just today they slapped my hand away when I asked." He said recalling the event from earlier.
Tim who was also here (don't forget him) looks confused "like what?" He asked, Damian always seemed so dramatic about you to Tim, Damian gave an annoying sigh "Their phone! They might be hiding something in their phone!" He shouted, "they shouldn't be keeping secrets from us, were family!" He continued to argue
Oh god.
"Damian calm down, I will handle this little situation later, if they are hiding something they aren't supposed to they are going back to the white room." Bruce exclaimed and/or added.
"Doesn't that seem a bit extreme Bruce?" Jason teased with a smirk in response with Bruce's statement, Jason may present himself as the most normal and gives you a lot of freedom but he is just as controlling and possessive as the others.
"of course not, it's for their own good." Jesus Christ he is so ominous and cryptic. This is the same guy that is seen as a good billionaire?, the family continue to eat and banter
While they were eating, you were stuck in a position, when Bruce mentioned the "white room" you don't wanna go back, you don't wanna go back. That place was awful. Your privacy is not valued.
They don't care about you, they just think they do. what can you even do?

Jikook came home today and I couldn't be happier đ𼺠They will be insufferable once they get out I can already feel it đđ
I missed them đ
Today I wanted to talk about something that was showcased on AYS, I call it The Smugness of Mr. Jeon Jungkookâ˘
Smugness of what you may ask?
The absolute cocky pride of having The Park Jimin Extraordinaire as a boyfriend.
I can't say I didn't love it when I watched.
Jungkook couldn't help to show him off on every occasions
This is the man in question showcased plainly by Jungkook:
Also very important to include him between food shots in case we didn't know Park Jimin was also part of his "special" food regimen *cough*
He felt the urge to inform us that his crush gives him the most attention:
"Look at my boyfriend, he's doing very boyfriendy stuff with me because he is mine, my crush, mine only and his attention is just for me, look at him good because you're having none of it"
Ok đ¤¨
He's really rubbing it in our faces that only he has the Ultimate Boyfriend Privilegeâ˘
Jungkook, this is a bit cruel
He even reached peak smugness. The pride. The power move. The "We're Kings of the world" attitude. We get it, he is yours. Jungkook really is a fool in love đ
Still keeping his little smirk.
"Look at my boyfriend, he's sick and miserable but look how good he still looks, how both of us look absolutely stunning together, I'm having the time of my life, stay mad losers"
Of course Jimin looks good even sick and at any time as a matter of fact, even while he sleeps, and Jungkook is still stunned by it. What a sight indeed.
Because Jeon Jungkook thinks Jimin is prettier than clouds and can't help but scream it to the world. It's all very natural. So obviously he is proud that Jimin is his boyfriend.
Jimin is not just anybody. He's so special and the fact jungkook has him makes him one of the luckiest man in the world (and vice versa) but he really put the nail in the coffin about this in AYS. Just in case we didn't get it.
DON'T WORRY JK GOD WE GET IT WE LEAVE HIM TO YOU
Do you get how insane is that growth? From 2015-2016 when Jungkook was so shy and sometimes closed off? To THIS TODAY?
That escalated quickly.
Now he has no fear anymore and doesn't hesitate to tell and show and express his love he has for Jimin and his pride to have him.
Jimin is funny because he didn't do it as often like Jungkook during AYS, he was more lowkey, but the one time he actually did the same it was PURE INSANITY
I mean Jimin doesn't play often but when he does he plays big game. Like go big or go home. He literally spelled it out for us.
Yes he is your boyfriend. Yes. Yes yes yes. We know he looks cute.
I also love how they both took time to film each other as well. This was clearly their main focus.
Aahhhh it makes my heart so happy for them. They admire each other. They are glad to be together and they show it to us freely.
What a time to be a jikooker, what a journey.
They aren't the ace duo for nothing and will always be a power couple đĽ
Good for them đ
Take care everybody đ

OH BOY! How about Office Eddie nsfw headcanons? I love that dweeb at the office with a dark streak and honestly just want anything about him đ
Dano!Riddler x Fem!Reader Headcanons oooooooooh yeah!! i've started writing a little outline for something like this but longer!! this is a good excuse to test some things out and see what works >:3c đđ request info ⢠prompt list ⢠send me a request ⢠kofi ⢠masterlist minors DNI!! đ cw: voyeurism, pervert eddie, peeping tom, spying, non-consensual stuff, masturbation, unintentional cum swallowing
listen, employment in a nice office isn't all that common in gotham, and you're lucky you're not behind a bar serving sleazy wannabe rogues or hustling for what little money you can get, so you're willing to put up with your shy and quiet and kinda dweeby co-worker
but that's only because you have no idea about all the weird stuff he's up to...
eddie is smitten immediately by you, but he doesn't speak to you at all for the first two weeks you're sharing an office with him
it makes you a little uncomfortable, but he slowly warms up and offers you a hello and a goodbye
when he starts talking to you a bit more, it's about quite dark and deep subjects
it's almost like he's trying to guage your response to decide if you're a good person
or one of the people he goes on about, the undeserving masses
he's nice enough though, and you find that he's very helpful and willing to guide you with the tasks
and you quickly notice that he's far smarter than you, and is willing to hold himself accountable for your training
this seemingly kind gesture isn't selfless, however, it's actually his way of getting closer to you
and to have you depending on him for your job
it's not something you notice at first, if at all, but edward always offers to look your work over before passing it on to the bosses
he's changing it without you knowing though, making sure there are little mistakes that have you reprimanded
eddie delivers that bad news of course, and offers to show you how to fix your errors
you're so grateful that you hug him, or compliment him, and so he can hardly stop doing it
besides, the stupider you feel, the more you'll have to rely on him, and the more you'll view him as smart and wonderful
and in order to keep you thinking that, he'll criticise you sometimes
nothing too mean, not too obvious
but enough that he can see your pupils widening and your skin flushing when he does compliment you
"don't worry, i won't tell the bosses"
gosh, you owe him so much... maybe he'll cash in the favours someday
eddie has the keys to the office and he unlocks it every morning, since he's always there a lot earlier than you
you never question why, but it's so he can set things up
you wouldn't believe how many cameras are hidden in the little space you share
under the desk, in the toilet, in the stationary cupboard
and the work laptop he offered to set up for you?
the webcam is hacked, so he can watch you at home
because at a certain point, he can't stand not to be around you or to know what you're up to when you clock out for the day
and that includes when you leave the room to go to the toilet
he had to drill a hole in the wall of the cupboard between the office and the bathroom, just so he can keep an eye on you
and he finds his behaviour escalating, like an experiment to see how far he can go
it starts with him touching himself under his desk, rubbing his hands over his erection and trying to keep quiet
rubbing against you in the elevator, placing his hands on your shoulders as he stands behind you, staring down your blouse
asking you to reach up high or down low to watch the way your clothes move to expose you
messing with the ac, watching you sweat when it's too hot, watching your nipples harden when it's too cold
then he starts messing with the cables under his desk a lot, something with the wiring you don't understand
but it's an excuse to stare at your legs, trying to get a peek up your skirt
and then before you know it, your sweet coworker is masturbating into your coffee creamer
waiting to see if you can taste the difference, to see if you recognise him on your tongue

Fear and Loathing
Yamazaki Shingen x Reader Warning: Angst (I can't help myself) Masterlist ------------------------
It was all you felt for this lifestyle you had been forced into. Fear and loathing. Fear for the man you married, for the members of the clan who despised you enough to try and get rid of you. Loathing of the man you married, for the lifestyle forced upon you.Â
Marriage was a silly thing to you. If it were actually your decision, you never would have married, let alone a man like Shingen Yamazaki. The man he once was had now become lethargic, empty, depressed. You didnât like your married life before, and you certainly didnât like it after his defeat.Â
Once you were informed of the Yubitsume to take place, you couldnât stay here any longer. It didnât matter that you had supposedly sinned, you needed to leave. In the dead of night, you vanished. Nobody knew exactly how you left without so much as a trace, but it didnât matter. What did, was the fact that Shingen was furious, with the other woman, with everyone who didnât notice, but especially with you.
The bloodshed that followed was only contained once his brother, Shintaro, claimed they would find you. How he needed to put the clan first, and let them take care of finding you. Soon, one month passed, then two, then three, and as they did, Shingen became more restless. Where did you go, and what were you doing?
It was a taste of freedom unlike any other, one you had never known. You travelled far away, hidden within the depths of a small prefecture, no one knowing of who you truly were. You made a life for yourself, working at a small shop, supporting yourself, no longer constricted by the rules of the Yamazaki clan. Until you found out you were pregnant.
It wasnât expected but not exactly surprising. You had been expected to give birth to the heir at some point, and it just had to be when you decided to run away. You decided to keep it, more trouble would come if you didnât, and maybe if you delivered the heir, you could bargain for freedom for yourself. It was selfish, but you never asked for this life, and certainly not this child.Â
As your pregnancy progressed, you became depressed at the fact of giving birth to the Yamazaki clan's heir. You couldnât do this, this child would tie you to the clan forever, regret sank in. It hit even harder when you discovered it was twins.
Meanwhile, the Yamazaki clan was in shambles. Their leader had gone mad trying to find you, often taking his frustrations out on those around him. A trail of blood followed him, and it bleed for you. He was desperate as the months passed. He needed you, you didnât have a choice, once he found you, you were never leaving his side again.
It was a week after you had given birth, over nine months since you ran away, that he appeared. Like you escaping through the night, his figure was a shadow, watching you, waiting. He was shocked to be greeted not only by you, but two infants as well. Exhaustion was obvious on your face, but it also held another emotion he couldnât quite place.
âYouâve been hiding all this time, even after you discovered you were carrying my children. This game is over, it is time to return.â
He was blunt with his words, as always. He expected immediate action from you, instead, you remained seated, looking at him, that same indescribable emotion on your face.Â
âI donât think that will happen. I have served my duties as the wife by giving birth to the heir of the clan. You donât need me anymore, and I donât need you.â
âYou donât get a choice, you are to return and continue to be my wifeâ
A long pause followed. He wouldn't take no for an answer. Until...
âIâm so tiredâ
Your broken voice spoke. Broken things can be fixed, Shingen thought. But something stopped him, you stopped him. The two infants laying in their cots caused him to pause, if he had you, you would break further, maybe even die.
If you love something, youâll let it go, and he might just have to do that. You were broken, and he couldnât fix you, even if he lived in ignorance to your condition, forcing you back into the clan, by his side, it would forever plague him.Â
The thought of knowing you were alive was better than keeping you by his side, forever spiraling until you faded away. He couldnât leave without something though.Â
âI will take my son with me, the daughter shows no promise for anything special, she will remain with you.â
You offered no argument as he took the child, as he was leaving you offered on final remark.
âHis name is Jonggun, but please, give him a proper name. And let us forget we ever met.â
He would never know what happened to you or the daughter, and although he had your son, it was too painful to look at him. He avoided the son, again falling into a deep depression. It wasnât until he was dying protecting the child he had taken from you, that he finally understood.
It finally clicked what that look on your face was. He hadnât seen it since you first left, nobody having the nerve to show it in front of him. It was normally mixed with another emotion as well, but this time, it stood alone, by itself.
It was loathing.
------------------------------------------
I can't help myself, I love writing unhappy stories. I like to try and make the prompts possible in the storyline, it's just more enjoyable for me. Careful when you say, the rest is up to you, because I will turn it into an angsty story. TBH I originally was gonna make reader die, but couldn't make it work.
All my Shingen stories have the common theme of reader dying or running away, just how I like it.

The fluorescent lights of the Stark Tower kitchen are glaring, but not as much as Tony Starkâs smirk. Heâs leaning against the counter, casually sipping coffee like he doesnât have a single care in the world. But you know better. You see the faint twitch of his lips, the amused glint in his eyes thatâs practically begging you to break the silence.
âYouâre being weird,â you say, crossing your arms as you lean against the fridge.
âWeird?â he repeats, mock-offended. âIâm drinking coffee in my own kitchen. Whatâs weird about that?â
You raise an eyebrow. âThe way youâre looking at me. Like... like youâre picturing something.â
Tony doesnât miss a beat. âOh, Iâm definitely picturing something.â He tilts his head, eyes roaming over you in a way thatâs anything but subtle. âSomething that happened roughly seven hours ago, give or take.â
Heat rushes to your face, and you quickly avert your gaze. Seven hours ago, youâd been in Tonyâs bedâor rather, sprawled across it while his hands did things youâre not entirely sure youâll ever recover from. Itâs supposed to be casual, the thing you have with him. No feelings, no strings. Just⌠stress relief, as Tony had so eloquently put it when this arrangement started.
But Tony Stark has a way of making casual feel like a loaded gun, just waiting to go off.
âKeep it down,â you hiss, glancing toward the door. âDo you want the others to hear?â
Tony raises his eyebrows in mock innocence. âWhat others? Iâm pretty sure weâre alone.â
You donât dignify that with a response. Instead, you grab an apple from the counter, pretending to be far more interested in it than the infuriating man in front of you. Tony doesnât move. He just keeps looking at you with that stupid smirk that makes your stomach flip in a way thatâs both exhilarating and dangerous.
âYou know,â he says after a beat, âif you keep trying to play the ânothing to see hereâ card, itâs going to make things more obvious.â
âObvious?â You scoff. âThereâs nothing to make obvious.â
Tony sets his mug down and closes the distance between you in two easy steps. You barely have time to react before heâs towering over you, his arms boxing you in against the fridge. His cologneâsome kind of absurdly expensive blend that probably costs more than your rentâwraps around you like a second skin.
âSweetheart,â he says, voice low enough to send shivers down your spine. âIâm a genius. You think I donât notice the way you look at me when you think no oneâs watching?â
âI donâtââ
âOh, you do.â His lips curve into a smug grin, and damn it, why does he have to look so good doing it? âAnd letâs not forget how you canât seem to keep your hands to yourself when weâre alone.â
You open your mouth to argue, but he cuts you off, his voice dropping another octave. âDonât worry. I like it. But you might want to work on your poker face, darling, because if I can tell, you can bet your ass the others will.â
The implication makes your stomach twist. âThey donât know.â
âNot yet,â Tony agrees. âBut I wouldnât underestimate Romanoff. Or Rogers, for that matter. The guy might be old-fashioned, but heâs not blind.â
You groan, pushing against his chest to create some distance. âThis is exactly why we need to keep things⌠professional in public.â
Tony chuckles, stepping back just enough to let you breathe. âSure. Professional. Thatâs exactly the vibe we give off.â
You glare at him. âIâm serious, Tony. If this gets outââ
He interrupts you with a finger pressed to your lips. âRelax. Iâm not exactly running my mouth about it. What we doââ He leans in, his breath warm against your ear. ââor donât doâis nobodyâs business.â
A shiver runs down your spine, and you hate how easily he gets to you. You know you should say something, maybe call him out for being so infuriatingly cocky, but the words catch in your throat when his hand brushes against your hip, his touch just light enough to make you ache for more.
âYouâre impossible,â you mutter.
âAnd yet, here you are,â he quips, his lips grazing the shell of your ear.
Before you can respondâor do something stupid, like kiss himâthe sound of footsteps echoes down the hallway. Your heart leaps into your throat, and you shove Tony away, nearly knocking the apple off the counter in your haste to look casual.
The door swings open, and Steve Rogers walks in, his expression as neutral as ever.
âMorning,â he says, nodding at the two of you.
âMorning,â you reply, your voice a little too high-pitched for comfort.
Tony, of course, is the picture of nonchalance. âCap,â he says, raising his mug in a mock salute. âHowâs it going?â
Steve gives him a once-over, his gaze lingering just long enough to make you sweat. But if he notices anything unusual, he doesnât comment. Instead, he grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and heads for the door.
âTraining in ten,â he says over his shoulder. âDonât be late.â
As soon as heâs gone, you exhale a breath you didnât realize you were holding. âSee? This is why we need to be more careful.â
Tony shrugs, unbothered. âRelax. If anyone could smell trouble, itâd be Rogers. And he didnât say a word.â
âThat doesnât mean he doesnât suspect something.â
Tony smirks, his eyes sparkling with mischief. âMaybe. But then again, maybe he just thinks you canât resist my charm.â
You roll your eyes. âYouâre insufferable.â
âAnd yetâŚâ He steps closer, his voice dropping to that dangerously seductive tone that makes your knees weak. âYou keep coming back.â
Before you can respond, heâs gone, sauntering out of the kitchen like he doesnât have a care in the world. You, on the other hand, are left standing there, your heart racing and your head spinning.
This is going to be harder than you thought.
â Ë・âŕ¨âĄŕ§â Ë・â
Tonyâs fingers tangle in your hair, his lips trailing hot, demanding kisses down your neck as your back hits the soft sheets of his bed. The city lights outside cast long, flickering shadows across the room, but you barely notice. Youâre far too focused on the way Tonyâs hands roam your body like heâs memorizing every inch of you, the rough pads of his fingers igniting fire wherever they touch.
"You're incredible," he mutters, his voice thick with reverence and hunger as he leans back to look at you. His gaze rakes over you like you're the most exquisite thing he's ever laid eyes on, and for a moment, you're lost in the intensity of his expression. It's almost too much. Almost.
"You're not so bad yourself," you tease, though your voice comes out breathier than you'd like. It doesnât matter. Tony doesnât need words to know what he does to you.
He smirks at your reply, his trademark arrogance mingling with a rawness he rarely lets anyone see. He dives back in, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that leaves you dizzy and aching. Everything about him is overwhelming in the best possible wayâthe taste of his mouth, the scrape of his stubble against your skin, the way his hands grip your hips like he canât bear the thought of letting you go.
The night is a blur of heated whispers, tangled sheets, and the sound of your name falling from his lips like a prayer. By the time you both collapse back onto the bed, spent and panting, the world feels a little hazier, a little quieter. His arm is draped lazily over your waist, his body warm against yours as he presses a kiss to your temple.
âYouâre something else,â he murmurs, his voice soft but edged with that familiar playful lilt.
âSo Iâve been told,â you reply, your heart still racing as you close your eyes, letting the moment wash over you.
But then, his hand stills on your hip. Thereâs a beat of silence, followed by a quiet curse under his breath.
âWhat?â you ask, your voice sharp with alarm as you sit up slightly to look at him. âWhatâs wrong?â
Tony doesnât answer right away. Instead, he pulls back just enough to inspect the condom in his handâwhatâs left of it, anyway. The air between you shifts instantly, the charged intimacy replaced by something colder. His jaw tightens, his gaze flickering to yours, and you donât need him to say anything to understand.
It broke.
Your stomach twists, panic creeping in around the edges of your mind. You know what this means. You know the risks, the possibilities. And judging by the way Tony is staring at you, his usual confidence momentarily stripped away, he knows too.
âOkay,â you say quickly, sitting up fully and reaching for his hand. âItâs fine. Weâll handle this.â
âHandle it?â he echoes, his tone sharp. His fingers curl into a fist around the useless piece of latex, his frustration evident. âDo you have any ideaââ
âYes,â you interrupt firmly, your heart pounding in your chest. âI know. But freaking out isnât going to help.â
He exhales sharply, dragging a hand through his messy hair. âThis wasnât supposed to happen.â
You place your hand over his, squeezing gently. âI know. But it did, and weâll deal with it.â
For a moment, he just stares at you, his dark eyes searching your face like heâs trying to find somethingâreassurance, maybe, or some kind of solution to a problem neither of you can undo. Finally, he nods, though his jaw is still tight.
âIâll take care of it,â you say, trying to keep your voice calm and steady. âIâll get the pill tomorrow morning. Itâs not a big deal.â
His eyebrows shoot up, his expression a mixture of skepticism and concern. âNot a big deal? Y/Nââ
âTony,â you cut him off, your tone firmer now. âIâm serious. Itâs fine. These things happen. Thatâs why emergency contraception exists.â
He doesnât look convinced. If anything, he looks more agitated, his mind no doubt racing through every worst-case scenario. You can practically see the calculations happening behind his eyes, his genius brain working overtime to solve a problem that canât be solved with tech or money or wit.
âHey,â you say softly, reaching up to cup his face. His stubble is rough against your palm, but his skin is warm, grounding. âLook at me.â
Reluctantly, he does, his eyes locking with yours. Thereâs a vulnerability there, buried beneath the layers of charm and bravado he wears like armor. Itâs a side of him he rarely lets anyone see, and it makes your chest ache.
âItâs going to be okay,â you say, your voice steady. âI promise.â
He exhales slowly, some of the tension in his shoulders easing at your words. He places his hand over yours, holding it against his cheek like heâs drawing strength from your touch.
âYou shouldnât have to deal with this,â he murmurs, his tone softer now. âThis is my fault.â
âItâs not anyoneâs fault,â you say firmly. âIt just happened. And itâs not the end of the world.â
He studies you for a moment, his gaze searching yours like heâs trying to gauge whether you really believe what youâre saying. You hold his gaze, willing him to see that youâre not afraidâthat youâre in control, even if the situation feels precarious.
Finally, he nods again, his lips pressing into a thin line. âAlright,â he says quietly. âIf youâre sure.â
âIâm sure,â you reply, leaning in to press a soft kiss to his forehead. âNow, stop overthinking it and come back to bed.â
A faint smile tugs at the corner of his mouth, though it doesnât quite reach his eyes. âYouâre bossy, you know that?â
âSomeone has to be,â you tease, lying back down and pulling him with you. He goes willingly, his arms wrapping around you like heâs afraid to let go.
As you rest your head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, you feel the tension slowly drain from his body. He still holds you a little tighter than usual, and you know the worry is still there, lurking beneath the surface. But for now, youâre both safe in the quiet cocoon of his bed, and thatâs enough.
The morning sunlight spills into the bedroom, cutting through the blinds in thin golden slats. You wake up before Tony, which isnât unusual. His arm is slung lazily over your waist, and his face is relaxed in a way that makes him look younger, softerâlike heâs let go of the weight of the world, if only for a few precious hours.
You slip out of bed carefully, not wanting to wake him. Your feet hit the cold hardwood floor, and you grab one of his shirts from the edge of the bed, slipping it over your bare skin before padding out of the room. The small box you picked up from the pharmacy the night before sits on the kitchen counter, unopened. Your stomach twists as you pick it up, the weight of it heavier than it should be.
Itâs not the first time youâve taken the pill, and logically, you know what to expect. Itâs supposed to be a fail-safe, a last resort. But something about the circumstances makes your chest tighten as you swallow the pill with a sip of water. The air feels thicker this morning, heavy with an unspoken tension that you canât quite shake.
By the time Tony joins you, freshly showered and looking far too put-together for someone who stayed up so late, youâve shoved the box deep into the trash and plastered on your best neutral expression. He doesnât mention the pill. He doesnât ask if you took it, though you know heâs probably been thinking about it. Instead, he leans casually against the counter and makes a joke about the kitchen being out of coffee, his easy demeanor doing little to mask the faint tension in his voice.
You donât call him out on it. The last thing you want is to drag the conversation back into that same spiral of worry. Instead, you focus on normalcyâbreakfast, half-hearted banter, the comforting rhythm of your strange, secret dynamic.
Days pass. A week. Maybe more. At first, youâre fine, brushing off the gnawing anxiety at the back of your mind. But when the calendar flips over to a new month and your period is nowhere to be found, the panic starts to creep in.
You check your phone obsessively, googling every possible explanation that isnât what youâre afraid of. Stress, you tell yourself. Hormonal shifts. The pill can do this, right? Throw off your cycle? Itâs not like your body works on a perfect schedule anyway.
And yet, as the days continue to pass, your chest tightens a little more every morning. The thought of telling Tony lingers at the edge of your mind, a shadow that grows darker every time you push it away. You think back to the night it happened, to the way he looked at you when the condom broke. The frustration, the fearâitâs all burned into your memory, and youâre not sure you can bear to see that look again.
So you donât tell him.
When he asks casually a week later if âeverythingâs sorted,â you force yourself to smile and nod. âYeah,â you say, your voice far steadier than you feel. âIt was just a big scare. Everythingâs fine now.â
The relief that washes over his face makes your heart sink. He leans back in his chair, running a hand through his hair as his lips curve into an easy grin. âGood. Thatâs good.â
He doesnât realize the way your stomach twists when he says it. He doesnât notice the faint tremor in your hands as you reach for your coffee cup, your fingers brushing against the ceramic edge like itâs the only thing grounding you.
Tony doesnât dwell on it after that. Heâs good at compartmentalizingâtoo good, sometimes. Once heâs reassured, the topic is filed away in whatever mental vault he keeps for things he doesnât want to think about.
But for you, it lingers.
You try to push it down, to bury it beneath layers of distraction. Missions, training, pretending that the world hasnât shifted beneath your feet. But every time youâre alone, the weight of the lie presses against your chest, making it harder to breathe.
You catch yourself staring at him sometimes, wondering what he would say if you told him the truth. Would he panic? Shut down? Or would he surprise you, the way he sometimes does, with a level of vulnerability that makes your heart ache? You donât know, and the uncertainty is almost worse than the fear itself.
One night, as the two of you sit curled up on the couch watching some old black-and-white movie he insisted youâd love, you feel the words bubbling up in your throat. The urge to tell him is almost overwhelming, the silence between you stretching thin and taut like a thread about to snap.
âTonyââ you start, but he cuts you off with a lazy smirk, his hand brushing against your thigh.
âYouâre not actually paying attention, are you?â he teases, nodding toward the screen.
The moment slips through your fingers like water, and you force a laugh, shaking your head. âNot really,â you admit, though the words feel hollow in your mouth.
He grins, leaning in to kiss your temple. âYouâre lucky youâre cute.â
The warmth of his touch should be comforting, but all you feel is the gnawing guilt in the pit of your stomach.
Days turn into weeks. Youâve never been particularly religious, but you find yourself silently praying every night, begging for some kind of resolution that doesnât involve your entire world unraveling. You know you canât keep this up forever. Sooner or later, the truth will come out, whether you want it to or not.
But for now, you cling to the fragile illusion of normalcy, pretending that everything is fine, that the ache in your chest isnât growing louder with every passing day.
Itâs late one evening when the weight of it all finally becomes too much. Youâre standing in the bathroom, staring at your reflection in the mirror. Your skin looks paler than usual, your eyes shadowed with exhaustion. You press a hand to your stomach, your fingers trembling as you let out a shaky breath.
You canât do this. You canât keep pretending.
But when you step out of the bathroom and find Tony sitting on the edge of the bed, scrolling through something on his tablet with an easy smile on his face, the words die in your throat. He looks so⌠unburdened, so relieved.
You sit down beside him, your movements stiff and robotic. He glances at you, his expression softening as he sets the tablet aside. âHey,â he says, his voice low and warm. âYou okay?â
You nod, forcing a small smile. âYeah,â you lie. âIâm fine.â
Itâs not fine. None of this is fine. But as Tony wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close, you let yourself fall into the comfort of his embrace, even if it feels like itâs built on a crumbling foundation.
Because right now, itâs easier to let him believe the lie than to face the truth.
And for better or worse, youâre not ready to let go of the fragile peace that lie has created. Not yet.
â Ë・âŕ¨âĄŕ§â Ë・â
The bathroom feels colder than usual, the air thick with a kind of tension you can almost taste. Youâre sitting on the closed lid of the toilet, staring at the small white stick on the sink like itâs a bomb waiting to go off. Your heart pounds so loudly in your chest that it drowns out everything elseâthe hum of the air conditioning, the distant city sounds drifting through the window, even your own breath.
Youâve been here for what feels like an eternity, though itâs probably only been a few minutes. The instructions on the box said three minutes, but youâre too scared to look. Too scared to confirm what your body has already been hinting at for days.
Your period is ten days late. Ten.
Youâve always been irregularâstress, missions, even the pill you took that morning can throw your cycle offâbut ten days? Thatâs more than a delay. Thatâs a sign.
Youâre holding your breath, your hands clenched tightly around the fabric of your pajama pants. You want to stand up, to take that final step and see the result, but your legs wonât move. Youâre frozen, caught between the urge to know and the overwhelming fear of what you might find.
When you finally gather the courage to stand, your knees feel shaky, like they might buckle under you. You lean over the sink, your trembling hand reaching for the pregnancy test. It takes everything in you to flip it over, to look at the little window that holds the answer to the question youâve been too terrified to ask.
Two lines.
Positive.
You blink, your breath catching in your throat as the reality of it sinks in. For a moment, you feel like the ground beneath you has shifted, like the whole world has tilted on its axis. This canât be real. This wasnât supposed to happen.
And yet, as you stare at those two little lines, a strange, unexpected feeling blooms in your chest. Itâs faint, fragile, but itâs thereâhappiness.
Your hand flies to your mouth as tears spill down your cheeks. You donât even know why youâre crying. Is it shock? Fear? Joy? Maybe itâs all of it, a tangled knot of emotions you canât begin to unravel.
You sink to the floor, your back against the cold bathroom tile, clutching the test in your hands like itâs a lifeline. Tears blur your vision, but you donât wipe them away. You just sit there, letting the wave of emotions crash over you.
You love him. Thatâs the thought that breaks through the chaos in your mind, clear and undeniable. You love Tony Stark. Of course, you do. Youâve loved him for longer than you care to admit, longer than this arrangement of yours has been going on. And now, youâre carrying a piece of him inside youâa tiny, fragile piece that terrifies you and fills you with a strange, aching kind of hope all at once.
But then the fear creeps back in, sharp and insistent.
You think about the way he reacted that morning after the condom broke, the tension in his shoulders, the way heâd paced like he was trying to solve an unsolvable equation. You think about the relief that washed over his face when you lied and told him your period had come.
He doesnât want this.
The thought makes your chest ache, the tears coming faster now. You know Tony. You know the walls heâs built around himself, the way he keeps people at armâs length, even when heâs letting them into his bed. You know how hard he fights to keep control over his life, his world, his emotions.
A baby? Thatâs not part of his plan. Hell, youâre not even part of his plan. Youâre supposed to be casual, no strings, no complications. This wasnât supposed to happen.
And yet, here you are, clutching a pregnancy test and crying alone in the bathroom, trying to figure out how youâre supposed to navigate this new reality.
You canât tell him. The thought hits you like a punch to the gut, but you know itâs true. You canât tell Tony. Not now. Not when you can still see the relief in his eyes from the last time you reassured him that everything was fine.
Heâll leave. The thought makes your stomach twist painfully, but you canât shake it. If you tell him, heâll panic. Heâll shut down, pull away, and youâll lose him completely. And as much as the idea of raising a child on your own terrifies you, the thought of losing Tony is worse.
So you donât tell him.
You wipe your tears, setting the test on the counter with shaking hands. Your reflection in the mirror looks haunted, your eyes red and puffy, your cheeks streaked with tears. You take a deep breath, splashing cold water on your face in a futile attempt to calm yourself. You need to pull it together. You need to figure out what comes next.
But for now, all you can do is stand there, staring at your reflection, trying to reconcile the life you thought you had with the one thatâs suddenly, irrevocably changed.
The door to the bedroom creaks open, and your heart leaps into your throat. You scramble to compose yourself, swiping at your eyes and plastering on a shaky smile just as Tonyâs voice drifts into the bathroom.
âHey, you alright in there?â he asks, his tone casual but laced with concern.
You swallow hard, forcing yourself to sound normal. âYeah,â you call back, your voice only wavering slightly. âJust⌠needed a minute.â
Thereâs a beat of silence, and then he hums softly, like heâs satisfied with your answer. âWell, donât take too long. I ordered breakfast, and you know how I feel about eating alone.â
You let out a weak laugh, your chest tightening at the sound of his voice. âBe right there.â
When you step out of the bathroom a few minutes later, your face freshly washed and your expression carefully neutral, Tonyâs already sprawled on the bed with a plate of food balanced precariously on his lap. He grins when he sees you, patting the spot beside him like nothingâs changed.
And for now, you let yourself fall into the illusion of normalcy, even as the weight of your secret presses heavily against your chest.
The air between you and Tony shifts subtly at firstâso small, so gradual, that neither of you comments on it. Nights that once burned hot now fizzle out before they even begin. The once-electric tension, the playful banter that led to tangled sheets and breathless laughter, is replaced by something colder. Itâs you who pulls away first. At first, itâs subtleâan excuse here, a brush-off there. âIâm not in the mood tonight,â you say, avoiding his eyes as you sit on the edge of the bed, a little too far from him.
Tony lets it go. He always does.
Heâs not the type to push, and you know heâs trying to respect your space. But as the days stretch into weeks, your distance becomes harder to ignore. Every time he reaches for you, his touch hesitant but hopeful, you step just a little further out of his reach. Itâs not that you donât want himâgod, you want him more than ever. But every time heâs close, every time his lips brush against your skin or his voice drops into that low, teasing tone that always used to make you weak, you feel the weight of your secret pressing down on you like a stone.
You donât know how to face him, how to look him in the eye without feeling like a liar. So you pull away.
Tony notices. Of course he notices.
At first, he thinks itâs stress. Youâve been juggling missions, the chaos of your lives, the constant push and pull of being in the public eye while trying to keep your relationshipâwhatever it isâa secret. Stress makes sense. Itâs logical, explainable. But as time goes on, and your coldness toward him hardens into something sharper, something unrelenting, the doubts creep in.
Itâs late one night, and Tonyâs lying in bed alone, staring up at the ceiling as the soft glow of the arc reactor casts faint, shifting patterns on the walls. Youâre not there. Youâd excused yourself earlier, claiming you were tired, but instead of lying down beside him like you used to, youâd retreated to the living room.
He wants to follow you, to ask whatâs wrong, to tell you he misses you even though he knows itâs not the kind of thing you say to someone whoâs supposed to be a casual fling. But he doesnât. He stays in bed, his chest tight, his mind spinning with every possible explanation for your sudden distance.
Maybe youâre over him. The thought sends a sharp pang through his chest, but he doesnât let himself dwell on it. People lose interest all the time. Itâs normal. Expected.
But then thereâs another thought, one that he tries to push down but canât quite ignore: Maybe thereâs someone else.
He hates the idea of it. Hates the way his stomach twists every time it crosses his mind. But the way youâve been avoiding him, the way youâve stopped laughing at his jokes, stopped touching him, stopped letting him touch youâit all feels like proof that heâs losing you.
The thing is, Tony Stark isnât good at feelings. Heâs spent his whole life hiding behind sarcasm, distractions, and whatever shiny piece of tech he can throw together to keep people from seeing the cracks beneath the surface. But you? Youâve always been different. Youâre the one person who makes him feel like he doesnât have to pretend, like he doesnât have to be âIron Manâ all the time.
And that scares him. Because if he loses you, he doesnât know how to go back to the person he was before.
He tries to bridge the gap one night. Itâs been weeks since you let him touch you the way he used to, weeks since the warmth of your body pressed against his in the dark. So he decides to take a chance.
âY/N,â he says softly, his voice tentative as he steps into the living room where youâre curled up on the couch, your knees drawn to your chest.
You glance up at him, your expression guarded, and his chest tightens.
âHey,â he continues, trying to keep his tone light, casual, like heâs not unraveling inside. âI was thinking we couldââ He hesitates, the words catching in his throat. âYou know. Watch a movie or something.â
You smile faintly, but it doesnât reach your eyes. âIâm not really in the mood, Tony.â
Itâs the same excuse youâve been giving him for weeks now, and it stings just as much as it did the first time. He nods, stepping back like heâs been burned.
âRight,â he says, his voice clipped. âOf course. Youâre⌠busy.â
You feel the weight of his disappointment, and it makes your stomach twist with guilt. You want to reach out, to tell him the truth, but the words wonât come. Youâre too scaredâscared of what heâll say, scared of what he wonât say.
Tony doesnât press the issue. He never does. Instead, he retreats back to the bedroom, closing the door softly behind him. But you know him well enough to know heâs hurting. Youâve seen the way his smile doesnât quite reach his eyes anymore, the way he avoids looking at you when he thinks youâre not paying attention.
You hate it. You hate yourself for causing it.
But every time you think about telling him the truth, about letting him into the tangled mess of emotions youâre drowning in, the memory of his relief when he thought everything was fine stops you. You canât bear the thought of seeing that same relief again, of watching him pull away from you because thisâwhatever this isâwas never supposed to be more than just sex.
The problem is, itâs so much more for you. It always has been. And the thought of him not feeling the same way, of him walking away when he finds out about the baby, is enough to keep you silent.
So you stay distant, building walls around yourself even as your heart breaks every time you see him. And Tony, for all his brilliance, doesnât know how to break through them.
Itâs late when Tony finally breaks. The night air is cool, flowing in through the windows of the lab as he works, tinkering with something that doesnât need fixing but still allows him to focus on something other than the gnawing feeling thatâs been growing in his gut for the past few weeks.
He canât ignore it any longer.
Youâve been so distant, so closed off. Every time he reaches for you, you pull away, your smile strained, your touch hesitant. He knows somethingâs wrong. Youâve been avoiding himâmore than usualâand itâs like the light that once sparked in your eyes when you were around him has dimmed. Youâre still there, physically, but emotionally? Mentally? Heâs losing you, and he doesnât know why.
At first, he thought it was just stress. Youâve both been running at full speed with everything going on in your livesâmissions, the Avengers, the constant media circus that surrounds everything you do. But as the weeks have stretched on, and youâve pulled further into yourself, Tonyâs mind starts to wonder. He tries to brush it off, tries to tell himself that maybe youâre just going through something, or maybe youâve just gotten tired of the arrangement you two have been navigating.
But that would mean heâs losing you, and the thought of that makes his chest ache.
Heâs pacing now, a strange sense of urgency growing inside him. He canât keep pretending everythingâs fine. He canât pretend he hasnât noticed the way you flinch when he touches you, how you go out of your way to make excuses not to be close, to keep that emotional distance between you. It hurts. It cuts deeper than any physical wound heâs had, and if he doesnât get to the bottom of it, he feels like he might lose himself entirely.
Without thinking, Tony heads toward the living room, his footsteps heavy as he approaches the place youâve been hiding out in for the past hour. Heâs not sure what he expects when he opens the door, but he knows he needs answers.
When you look up at him from the couch, curled up with a book in your hands, he sees it againâthe sadness behind your eyes, the coldness in the way you hold yourself. Itâs been so long since youâve looked at him like that, and it hurts more than heâs willing to admit.
âY/N,â he starts, his voice more strained than he meant it to be, âWe need to talk.â
You blink at him, like you were expecting him to say something else, something easier to hear. But instead, you set the book down, letting out a long breath. âWhat about?â
Tony steps closer, his brow furrowed in frustration, eyes searching yours for any sign of the woman he once knew. âYouâre not fine. I know youâre not. And I canât keep pretending that everythingâs okay between us when itâs not.â
You open your mouth as if youâre about to say something, but the words die on your tongue. Youâre not ready to tell him, not yet, but Tonyâs insistent stare makes you feel like you donât have a choice.
âPlease, just tell me whatâs going on. Iââ He cuts himself off, not sure if heâs about to confess something he isnât ready for. âI hate this distance between us. I hate how youâve been avoiding me, and Iâm not going to let you shut me out. Not when I know somethingâs wrong. So please, just tell me.â
You stand slowly, turning away from him, eyes cast down to the floor as you try to steady your breathing. You know you canât keep this secret any longer. He deserves to know, but youâre terrified of his reaction. Terrified that heâll leave, or worse, that heâll shut you out just like youâve been doing to him.
âIââ you start, your voice cracking slightly as you turn back to face him, your words hanging in the air like a fragile glass balloon ready to pop. âTony, Iâm⌠Iâm pregnant.â
For a moment, the room feels impossibly still. The sound of your heart pounding in your chest is louder than anything else. Tonyâs face doesnât change immediately, and for a second, you wonder if heâs even heard you. Maybe he didnât catch it, didnât really understand what you just said.
But then his eyes meet yours, and you can see the shock flicker across his face, his mouth opening as if heâs about to speak but nothing comes out.
The silence between you both stretches, and you hate it. You hate the tension that fills the space where once there was laughter, banter, comfort. You take a deep breath, the weight of your confession settling on your shoulders like an anchor, and you brace yourself for his response.
âI know you donât want this,â you whisper, your voice barely audible. âI saw the way you reacted when I told you my period had come. You were relieved, and I know that means you donât want a kid. And Iââ
But Tony doesnât let you finish. Heâs already moved toward you, his expression softening, and before you even realize it, his hand is gently cupping your cheek, his thumb brushing away a tear you didnât know had fallen.
âY/N,â he interrupts, his voice quieter now, but his words are firm, like heâs trying to make you understand something important. âI wasnât relieved because I didnât want the baby. I was relieved because I remember you saying you didnât want kids right now.â He lets out a shaky laugh, almost embarrassed by the way his own words feel in his mouth. âI guess I got scared for a second, thinking this was all happening too fast, but it wasnât about not wanting a kid. It was about⌠us. About where we are in life. I wasnât sure if you were ready for this, for everything that comes with it.â
You stare at him, blinking as the shock of his words sinks in. For a moment, all you can do is stand there, trying to process what heâs saying. Heâs not angry. Heâs not freaking out. Heâsâheâs relieved? And then the smile that spreads across his face is one youâve never seen before. Itâs so full of hope, of joy, that it almost knocks the wind out of you.
âYouâre happy?â you whisper, your voice trembling despite your best efforts to sound steady.
Tonyâs grin widens, and his eyes are shining with something so genuine, so raw, that itâs impossible for you to look away. âYou have no idea,â he says, a soft laugh escaping his lips. âIâve wanted this. Iâve wanted to be a dad for a while now. Iâm happy, Y/N. Iâm so happy.â
The air between you both changes instantly. The heavy weight thatâs been pressing down on your chestâyour fear, your anxietyâlifts just a little. You feel like you can breathe again, the walls youâd built around yourself crumbling with every word he speaks.
You look up at him, your own smile breaking through the uncertainty, and before you can stop it, the words spill out. âI think Iâm happy too, Tony.â
Tonyâs expression softens, his eyes softening as he reaches for you, pulling you into an embrace so tight it almost feels like heâs never letting you go. You bury your face in his chest, your heart racing with a mix of emotionsârelief, happiness, fear, but most of all, love.
âYouâre not alone in this,â he murmurs, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. âWeâre doing this together. Okay?â
You nod against him, your arms wrapping around his waist as if you never want to let go. âOkay,â you whisper, a quiet laugh escaping you as the weight of the moment finally settles in. âTogether.â
And for the first time in what feels like forever, you let yourself believe it. You let yourself believe that no matter what comes next, you wonât be facing it alone.
Later that night, after the quiet joy of shared smiles and whispered promises had filled the room, the weight of the moment seemed to settle in more than ever. The excitement, the relief, the joy of the babyâall of that felt real now. But there was still one thing neither of you had addressed. The question that hung in the air just as heavily as it always had: What are we?
You werenât sure when it started. When the blurred lines between âfriends with benefitsâ and something more had begun to form, but you knew it was there now. It had always been there, from the moment his lips had first brushed against yours, from the first time youâd shared something deeper than just casual touch. The emotional attachment had crept in slowly, quietly, and for a long time, you had tried to ignore it.
But now, with a baby on the way and the delicate balance of your secret relationship on the verge of shifting, there was no denying it any longer.
Tony had been unusually quiet after the rush of emotions had faded, after you both had settled into your shared space on the couch, your legs tangled beneath a blanket. Youâd both exchanged small touches, playful nudges, and soft words of reassurance, but as the night wore on, the air between you thickened again, and you both knew what was coming.
Tony wasnât the type to shy away from hard conversations, especially not when it came to the things that mattered most to him. And now, with the future of your relationship hanging in the balance, he had to know: where do you two stand?
âY/N,â he starts, breaking the comfortable silence that had wrapped itself around the two of you, his voice low, hesitant. âWe need to talk about⌠us.â
You glance up at him, your heart picking up speed at the seriousness in his tone. Heâs not looking at you now, not like before, when his eyes had been filled with a bright, carefree joy. No, now his gaze is intense, studying you in a way that makes you feel exposed. Vulnerable.
âI know,â you reply softly, the words almost a whisper, your fingers absently tracing the edge of the blanket. Youâre nervous now, your chest tight, unsure of how to navigate this conversation. After everything thatâs happened, after the whirlwind of emotions surrounding the pregnancy, now comes the quiet storm that youâve been avoiding. The talk about what your relationship isâwhat it could be.
Tony shifts, his body language tense. âWeâve been doing this for a while nowâcasual, no strings, no commitment. But now⌠this changes everything.â He lets out a breath, rubbing his hands over his face as if trying to wipe away the uncertainty. âI canât help but wonder if weâve been fooling ourselves, pretending weâre just two people with a little arrangement. I need to know if you feel the same way I do.â
Your stomach flips at the sincerity in his voice. The seriousness of it all hits you in a way you werenât expecting. Youâve always been good at keeping things light, at pretending that this thing between you both was just about fun, just about the thrill of being together without the complications of a real relationship. But now, with the baby coming, everything has changed.
Tony continues, his eyes searching yours. âI donât know about you, but⌠Iâm not just some guy you hook up with and then move on from. Thatâs not what I want anymore. I never thought Iâd say this, but IâI want more than that with you. I think Iâve wanted more for a long time, even before we got here, and now⌠with the baby, I donât know how to act like weâre just two friends. I canât.â
You swallow, the knot in your throat tightening, making it harder to speak. You want to say the right thing, but you donât even know what that is anymore. For so long, youâve kept the walls up, kept yourself detached from him, from the idea of ever needing more than just him in your bed, in your life.
But now, after everything thatâs happenedâthe broken condom, the shock of the pregnancy test, the tenderness of his touch, the way he looks at you nowâyou canât pretend anymore. You know what you feel. Youâve known for a while.
âIâm scared,â you admit, your voice trembling. You canât stop the truth from slipping out, and for the first time in a long while, you let yourself be honest with him. âIâve been so scared, Tony. I was scared to let myself feel more than just⌠this. I didnât want to be vulnerable. I didnât want to fall for you, but I did. And now, with this⌠I donât know what that means for us.â
He leans in, his hand coming to rest gently on your knee, grounding you with the warmth of his touch. âIt means we figure it out. Together.â
You meet his gaze then, really look at him, and for the first time since all of this started, you feel the fear melt away, replaced by something that feels like hope, like relief. Maybe itâs too soon to figure everything outâmaybe the fear will still be there tomorrow, when you wake up and face the reality of being parents together. But right now, in this moment, you realize that whatever comes next, youâre not alone.
âIâve never wanted anything more than this,â Tony murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper. âI want us, Y/N. I want thisâwhatever it isâif itâs with you.â
Tears well in your eyes, the weight of his words sinking in. âAre you sure? Because, Tony, this is⌠a lot. Weâre talking about everything changing. Our whole livesââ
âI know,â he interrupts, cutting you off softly. âBut thatâs the thing, Y/N. Itâs supposed to change. Itâs supposed to be big. And itâs gonna be scary. But Iâd rather be scared with you than pretend weâre okay with something less.â
You smile, the tears now flowing freely down your cheeks, but theyâre not tears of fear anymore. Theyâre tears of relief, of joy. âI feel the same,â you say, your voice barely above a whisper. âI donât want anything else either. I want us.â
The air shifts around you both. The weight of everything thatâs been left unsaid, the uncertainty, the fear, all of it starts to dissipate in the wake of your words. In the silence that follows, thereâs a quiet understanding that passes between you, something unspoken but deep. Youâre not just two friends anymore. Youâre something more. Something real. Something that might still be terrifying, but youâre willing to take that step together.
Tony leans in, brushing a kiss against your forehead. âWeâre gonna figure this out, Y/N. Weâll do it together, okay? All of it. No more running from it. No more pretending.â
You nod, closing your eyes for a brief moment, savoring the peace of knowing that he feels the same way. For the first time, you donât feel the need to guard yourself, to hold back. Whatever happens next, you know youâll face it with him by your side.
And for the first time in months, you allow yourself to feel the hope that the future might not be so terrifying after all.
âTogether,â you whisper back, your voice full of resolve.
âTogether,â Tony agrees, his smile softening as he leans back into the couch beside you. You both sit there for a long moment, the world outside forgotten, the future uncertain but no longer so intimidating. With each other, you feel ready for whatever comes next.
The decision to tell the Avengers comes surprisingly easy, though Tony initially overcomplicates itâas is his style. He drafts no fewer than six different ways to break the news, each one more elaborate than the last, from a staged press conference to a spontaneous "Oops, did we drop a clue?" moment during dinner. Ultimately, itâs you who insists on something simple: just sitting everyone down and saying it outright.
The team gathers in the common area after a particularly grueling mission briefing. Steve sits on one side, arms crossed in casual curiosity, while Natasha and Clint exchange knowing looks, as if theyâve already pieced together whatever youâre about to say. Thor leans back with an air of amused disinterest, and Bruce glances between you and Tony with a subtle frown, clearly trying to deduce whatâs happening.
Tony clears his throat, standing with his hands shoved into his pocketsâa nervous habit youâve grown to recognize. You sit beside him, trying not to laugh at the way he fidgets like a kid preparing to confess heâs broken something.
âSo,â Tony begins, his voice smooth but a little too loud, âweâve got some news. Something big, something life-altering. Not world-ending, donât worryâthough it is arguably more exciting than an alien invasion or a helicarrier falling out of the sky.â
âGet to the point,â Natasha cuts in, raising an eyebrow, though her smirk betrays her amusement.
Tony glances at you, and you take his hand, offering him a reassuring squeeze. You look at the group, your heart racing but a soft smile playing on your lips. âWeâre together,â you say simply, âand⌠weâre having a baby.â
The room falls silent for a beat, and then chaos ensues.
Clint immediately lets out a loud, theatrical âCalled it!â while Thor booms a congratulatory cheer, clapping Tony on the back so hard he almost topples forward. Natasha simply smirks, her sharp eyes flickering with something close to approval. Steve blinks once, then twice, before nodding with a small smile. âWell,â he says, âitâs about time.â
Bruce, for his part, is the most measured. âCongratulations,â he says warmly, his expression soft as he looks between the two of you. âThatâs⌠big news. Youâll both be great parents.â
Tony, who thrives on reactions, looks around at the mix of responses, a crooked grin spreading across his face. âWait, thatâs it? No oneâs shocked? No dramatic gasps? No âTony Stark, settling down, what has the world come to?ââ
Natasha tilts her head. âWeâre not blind, Tony.â
âAnd youâre not exactly subtle,â Clint adds with a laugh. âThe sneaking around was cute at first, but come on. The looks? The way you guys act around each other? It was only a matter of time.â
You laugh, leaning into Tonyâs side as he rolls his eyes but doesnât deny it. He doesnât care if they saw it comingâhe only cares that youâre here, by his side, sharing this moment with him.
As the weeks pass and your belly starts to grow, Tonyâs excitement becomes something of a full-time personality trait. Heâs protective in a way that sometimes makes you laugh and sometimes makes you roll your eyesâlike when he insists on scanning the ingredients of every snack you eat or hovering too closely while you climb the stairs.
âTony, Iâm pregnant, not fragile,â you remind him one evening when heâs fussing over your attempt to carry a laundry basket up from the bedroom.
âYeah, well, youâre carrying my kid,â he retorts, taking the basket from your hands with a flourish. âAnd Iâm not taking any chances.â
But itâs not just the protectiveness. Thereâs something else, something deeper. Every day, he seems more in loveânot just with you, but with the idea of the life youâre building together. He tells you often how beautiful you are, how the so-called âpregnancy glowâ makes you shine brighter than any reactor core heâs ever built. And when heâs not busy marveling at you, heâs completely, utterly enchanted by the baby growing inside you.
Tony spends hours talking to your belly, as if the baby can already hear and understand him. He lays his head against your stomach whenever he can, his voice soft and full of wonder as he murmurs stories about the world, about your life together, about the adventures waiting for the little one.
âYou know,â he says one evening, his hand resting gently on your belly as he leans in close, âyouâve got it pretty good in there, kid. Momâs amazing. Sheâs brilliant, and funny, and stubborn as hellâyouâll learn that soon enough. And me? Well, Iâm not so bad either. Weâre gonna be a great team, the three of us.â
You watch him, your heart swelling at the sight of the man who, not so long ago, had been the epitome of carefree, refusing to be tied down. Now, heâs the man who canât wait to be a dad, who looks at you like youâre his entire world.
âI think theyâll be lucky to have you,â you say softly, running your fingers through his hair as he continues to talk to your belly.
Tony looks up at you, his expression tender. âNah,â he replies, his voice teasing but warm. âTheyâll be lucky to have you. Iâm just along for the ride.â
You laugh, leaning down to kiss him, and he smiles against your lips, his hand never leaving your belly. Moments like this are becoming your new normalâquiet, intimate, filled with the kind of love that feels like itâs been there all along, waiting for the right time to bloom.
As the baby kicks for the first time a few weeks later, Tonyâs excitement is nothing short of infectious. He whoops loudly, startling you for a moment before his hand immediately presses against your stomach again, his grin wide and boyish.
âDid you feel that?â he exclaims, his eyes lighting up as he looks at you.
You nod, tears springing to your eyes as you smile. âYeah,â you whisper, your hand covering his. âI felt it.â
âThatâs my kid,â he says proudly, leaning down to kiss your belly. âAlready making an entrance.â
You canât help but laugh, your heart full to bursting. In moments like this, itâs hard to remember why you ever doubted thisâwhy you ever doubted him. Tony Stark, for all his flaws, is everything you never knew you needed. And now, as you prepare to welcome the biggest adventure of your lives together, you know one thing for sure: youâre in this together, every step of the way.
